B&B Red Tree

We were a four-people group staying a night with Ruan and Tina after a three-night hike in the wild. Red Tree turned out to be a fantastic place with great, service-minded hosts. Recommended for anyone looking for "the" place to stay at in Mehamn.

Great hosts. You immediately know they have put their heart and soul into this place and it shows. Combined with their respect for your privacy, it is truly your home in Menhamn ,should you find yourself there.

Mehamn at the far north of Norway can be reached by ship, car and presumably plane given that it has an airport. There is plenty to do for visitors and walkers in the area, and Ruan and Tina at Red Tree are helpful and obliging from the moment you arrive. They will suggest activities and places to see, and all can be designed to suit the weather and season.
The rooms are clean, basic and functional. Mostly it is a shared toilet and shower, kitchen and living room for two bedrooms. In the town there is a supermarket, ATM and a few other facilities including eating places such as the hotel.
Full marks for setting up Red Tree, and providing such warm and knowledgeable hospitality.
Compared to a budget B+B in another country this may appear expensive but so is Norway and especially up in the north - get used to it (and you will not be disappointed)..

Tina and Ruan were the perfect hosts as they welcomed us to Mehamn and the region. Activity planning and support were on hand in the shop. Everything was clean and many small details were in place. We had a great stay and are already missing the northern hospitality! 

We spent two nights at the B&B and 5 nights at their cabin. The welcome by Tina and Ruan was genuine and it was obvious that they took their time for each guest. The rooms were clean and many small details were considered. This is a quality  B&B for those who want to discover nature and the local culture. As a family we were well looked after and would return.
