Been returning to this unique pearl of a place for 13 years and still have the same feeling driving down from the mail road.  Here you will find peace in mind and the rooms are unique and authentic for the history of this building.  You can fish from the stunning terrace fronting the sea while enjoying a glass of wine or a cold beer.  

AUTHENTIC AND UNIQUE AT NORWAY'S STUNNING WEST COAST LINE

This place took our breath away completely! It is stunningly beautiful, calm and peaceful, there is so much silence, only the birds flying past your window towards the ocean, and there has been so much thought going into the decoration….. The colours of the building and the interior decorations blend perfectly into the landscape…. The art on the walls, the furniture, even the coffee mugs, everything is perfection. The bed was sooo comfortable, and the modern kitchen had everything we needed. It was so nice that there was no TV! It really is a place to get away from it all and relax, and we wished we could have stayed for longer than just one night…. We will be back for sure!! The host offered great advice on places to see and walks for our dogs. We didn’t have the chance to eat or drink anything in the bar but it looked lovely. We highly recommend this amazing place.

Excellent Room, Splendid View 

We stayed for three days while exploring Averøya, Kristiansund and Atlanterhavsveien.

The room is excellent with beautiful view! We stayed in a superior double room with an extra room for the children. 
We loved the ambience, the freshness of  the facilities and the practical arrangement with the kitchen.
We will definitely be back.

Excellent Room, Splendid View

Came across this idyllic guesthouse by the sea and spent one night here. We were totally blown away by the magnificent view from our room. We sat and watched the wind and rain whip the ocean up all evening (an eagle flew right by our window at one point) and fell asleep to the old building creaking in the wind. Newly renovated with modern facilities, but the owner has kept the rustic original details from when the building was a fish factory giving the place its charm. Our stay was short and the room so lovely that we barely left it, but the area has lots of exciting outdoor activities that the owner gladly will help you navigate. Only a 15 minute drive from the city of Kristiansund. We would definitely come back here, for a longer stay next time!

One of a kind and highly recommended guesthouse by the sea!

The location is good right next to ocean.  It was a good place to stop for those wishing to visit the Atlantic Road, as it let’s you see it in the morning and evening when the sun is on different sides of the bridges. We drove eastbound in the evening and west in the morning.  The owners were nice and accommodating.  Our room was a little dark. I wish we could spend more time to enjoy the guesthouse and its setting.

Nice Setting in Good Location for seeing Atlantic Road

I spent two nights with my husband at the end of a holiday in Norway in August 2019. The place is absolutely fantastic: far from the madding crowd! 
We chose one of the superior rooms with two windows on the sea very big and comfortable. 
All the furniture of the house reflects the original nature of the place which was a fishing station: very essential, but extremely refined. 
We decided to have two dinners (three courses) and the food was excellent, very well cooked and fresh. 
The two supervisors, a Portuguese girl and a Mexican boy, have been really kind and helpful, besides being really good at running the whole business! 
We really enjoyed our time and reccomend this place for people who are looking for peace and relax. 
We are looking forward to coming back.

BREATHTAKING AND AWESOME

What everyone has already written! Calm calm and calm :) Absolutly superb fishing places, with desent fish.
Over the top on all points but the breakfast was really poor. That need to be Fixed.
But service and everything else was perfect!

Breathtakingly perfect

We love this place, huge room facing directly at the waterfront, quiet, clean and comfortable bed. Beautiful scenery, tastefully decorated, very good WiFi, very helpful and friendly host. Not only he helped us carried up our luggages, he also got up early to prepare breakfast for us after knowing that we had to leave early. The breakfast was tasty even though it was just smoke salmon sandwich. Only dislike was the gravel road leading to the guesthouse, but that's beyond the host can manage.

Definitely recommend to stay! 

This is a restored old klipfish factory done over in minimalist style,very nice.Sitting right on the ocean.The evening meal was rather expensive,as is all food in Norway. The host was very informative about the buildings history.

Stayed one night on our road trip. The guest house is an old clip fish (klippfisk) factory and is situated just next to the sea. You can just follow the signs to get there, even if you sometime can wonder were the road will lead you. We had a spacious room with an ocean view. In the evening a tasteful three course dinner was served and we could book upon arrival, even though you normally are supposed to book it in advance. During the dinner the owner told the history of the building, how it was originally used for producing clip fish and she told us were the name "klippfisk" originates from (no spoilers though). The breakfast was also good. If you have some extra time we could recommend to have a walk in the surrounding cliffs.
