Taiparoro House 1882

We had an amazing experience staying at this facility in June 2022. It is a quirky building but brought back nostalgic feelings as the building reminded of our ancestral home in Neyyoor, Kanyakumari District in South India. The hosts Iain and Penny, were absolutely friendly and helpful. They offered to provide airport transfers which made our lives easier as it is the cold and wet season in Tauranga. They provided us with excellent and enjoyable breakfast daily (included in the fares) with seasonal fruits, yoghurt, croissants, coffee and tea. Yhe family room was quite spacious with a sitting room, comfortable bedroom with a heatpump, adequate bathroom and a balcony located in front of the quiet waters. The CBD, Eateries and Supermarkets are just 10 mins walk from there. On the ground level, we had full access to the dining room and lounge warmed by open fire place. Walkways by the river were very clean and enjoyable. Our best experience in a long time.
