The property is exceptional!  It is beautifully maintained and landscaped.  She has a private pond and a gardener who keeps everything so lovely.  The rooms are clean and quiet.  We loved visiting with other guests in the shared areas.

Sharon couldn’t have been more helpful!  We loved the location, not just for the place on the map, but for the excellent house and grounds too!  Sharon has a gardener who keeps everything so lovely. There is a pond, ducks, a hot tub, and lovely gardens.  The breakfast is great, and the rooms are lovely and clean.  There is a shared guest area and lots of parking.  We walked to local restaurants and also drove around the area to lunch at a local vineyard.  Our time in Able Tasman couldn’t be beat and Accent house is within an hours drive of wonderful tracks in the Able Tasman.  You should definitely put the Accent house on your list of places to stay if you are going to see the Able Tasman!

Great place to stay near Able Tasman!

I stayed for two nights at this wonderful bed and breakfast.  The entire house is impeccably clean and as it was in the Winter months it was warm and cosy.  I was greeted by the owner who was very friendly and helpful.  

The room was large with everything you need and more. It had a very comfortable king size bed with quality linens.  The desk, chairs, lamps, chairs and all of the furnishings are of a very high standard.  The ensuite was huge.  The underfloor heating and heated towel rails were very welcome and the shower was superb with plenty of hot water and good pressure.  

The outside park like setting was beautiful with lovely views to the lake.  This BnB is conveniently located in Mapua with in walking distance to the shops and wharf.  Only 20 minutes drive from Nelson airport and 15 minutes the other way to Motueka and not much further on to Kaiteriteri beach, the Abel Tasman and Golden Bay.

I will return.


Amazing stay

Stayed at Accent House with my mum while on a cycle tour. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. Very comfortable room and lovely living areas to hang out in, indoor and outdoors. Beautiful gardens and very cool little dog. Breakfast was outstanding. Would highly recommend!

Excellent b@b

The location , which is walkable to lovely Māpua jetty is a great spot , made even nicer by the lovely gardens surrounding the property. Sharon is a super host who knows the area and is very willing to help with advice and bookings . Our room was the largest suite and well worth it . The super king bed was extremely comfortable , the bathroom had a large bath and walk in shower and the room he it’s own patio area onto the garden. 
This is a great spot to explore Abel Tasman or visit Nelson from a quieter location

Lovely hosts in great property

The hosts at accent house were so lovely and helpful. We arrived early and she immediately helped us book a water taxi for the hike we wanted to do. Our suite was stunning- the pictures on Expedia don’t do the rooms or grounds Justice! Breakfast was delicious, and we were provided a smaller breakfast to keep in our fridge the night before a very early tour. We were also just a short walk into town where we had dinner every night. From start to finish, this was such a wonderful experience and we would recommend it to anyone traveling to the Abel Tasman area!

Sharron was very welcoming, friendly and helpful.  Right balance of interaction with the guests.  There are clearly-defined separate areas for guests and the hosts.  

Decent-sized room with good hanging space, safe, good bathroom with shower, two easy chairs and a small table.  Chairs and table outside the room on the veranda.  All spotless and evidently well cared for.  There is also a shared guest lounge also with tea and coffee making facilities and slices of cake sometimes in the afternoons.  A few chairs/sofa here too, and lots of local information leaflets.

Good muesli/fruit joghurt combo for breakfast followed by croissants and toast. Cooked breakfast on offer too (fantastic bacon sandwich!)

Kaiteriteri was a circa 40 minute drive, so easy to access the ferries/water taxis for Abel Tasman.  Nelson also only a 25-minute drive away.

Overall a very good, comfortable and convenient place to stay, with excellent hosting.

Lovely B&B with excellent hosting in a good location

ACCENT HOUSE has to be one of the best B&B'S in New Zealand. Spotlessly clean, wonderful room, great breakfasts and the perfect hosts in Sharon and John. Having a glass on wine and a chat with you helped make our weeding anniversary special. Thank you. We will return. HIGHLY RECOMENDED.

ABSOLUTELY SUPERB.

Definitely luxury b&b. Very comfortable private room in beautiful surroundings of Sharon & Bobs property and immaculate gardens. Spacious common guest lounge for sitting, reading & enjoying a cup of tea was a bonus. As was the afternoon spa overlooking the private lake & gardens. Wonderful hosts with lots to share on local attractions & where to eat. Plenty to keep us busy for our 3 night stay. Great location for access to Marlborough beaches & bike trails. Lovely relaxed breakfast & enjoyable morning chat with our hosts. Highly recommend
