We had a lovely stay here, the hosts were very welcoming and the home cooked food was a real highlight- especially the Moroccan omelette, fresh baked breads, and breakfast. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The perfect location to explore Todra gorge, plus great views from the hotel terrace.

Lovely stay

Great service, hotel very close to the Todra Gorges

Unfortunately our host spoke no English this made our stay difficult.  I booked a triple room so that we would have more space but could not communicate this. It would be helpful to know that the host only speaks French. Very close to todra gorge.

Language was a barrier.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The host family was friendly, helpful and made us feel most welcomed. We stayed in the double room which was perfect for what we wanted (had a window & a/c not that we needed it). A sweet breakfast in the morning sun with cheeky birds chirping away & great views of the village and surrounding cliffs was an amazing way to start our days.A highlight was getting to visit the hosts farm just out of tinghir. It was interesting to see the irrigation set up & the different crops they could grow. The reservoir doubles as a large swimming pool so if you’re lucky enough to go out there you may be able to swim laps in the desert!!The village itself is really safe with a wonderful community of locals and while the hosts are great cooks there are also a lot of other good restaurants in the village you could try.We walked through the gorge to climb everyday with the first crag about 10mins away.If I could give more than 5 stars I would with so many little things going above and beyond like helping us learn a bit of the local language, arranging a delivery of beer from Tinghir and dropping us off at our bus on the last day.

5 days of bliss

These people are so great! Extremely friendly family with awesome hospitality! And at a great price! They made us both dinner and breakfast and they had homegrown olive oil and milk from the valley here. Would 100% recommend this place! :D

Super close to the climbing!

It was a very nice guesthouse with a lot of charm and clean. Very welcoming family that invited us to share the diner and have interesting talks. Nice terrasse with a view on the mountains. Sweet people =)

Excellent hotel

I ended up staying here by accident when I couldn't find my original guesthouse, and it was definitely a good accident. The hotel has a beautiful terrace with a stunning view of the gorge. Everything was very clean, the wifi was good, the showers hot, which was nice after days in the Sahara. It is easy to find, right off the main road, and it is close to many climbing and hiking areas. The family was lovely as well. I highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic place!

Firstly the location of this auberge is just 1km away from the narrowest point of Todra Gorge, a magnificent natural landscape which most people are here for. Easy to find just by the roadside but a bigger signage might be a big help.

We got here almost sundown and the host, Dris greeted us with hot coffee and local chai on the terrace while prayer call from the nearest madrasa was clearly heard. We also got to enjoy the peaceful morning the next day from this terrace.

We got a room with a double-bed plus 2 singles and it contains all the basic stuff it should like A/C and satellite TV. Hot water was not available, though, and it was very impossible to shower in the morning.

Other than that, we were allowed to use his kitchen (microwave) to prepare food. Water kettle and iron were also available.

Parking is not a problem and it's free.

Kind host with great views around

This was one of the nicest stays we had in Morocco. Driss is super cool, and has a super cool family :) . He gave us tips and advice about the surrounding area, so it was easy to walk around. The climbing area is really close, and if you don't want to climb, trekking is a good option too. The food was very good, room was clean and big, totally recommend it.

Very nice family

Driss was travelling, so Mustapha looked after us. He upgraded us to a larger room with better views much closer to the terrace. Terrace is where most of the action is. And this is one place where we could see the family in action - the children would occasionally come to say hello.

Food was good. Have been very impressed with Mustapha's command of languages - more or less effortlessly, he could switch between  European languages as he chatted with different sets of guests. He is a genial chap. Mustapha arranges horse rides and rock climbing but we did not have the time to 
use these services.

The views are very nice as it feels like you are in a sunken valley - it is actually  so close to  Todra gorge that one is surrounded by mountains from all sides. The night sky was beautiful. An early morning walk to the river and then onto Todra gorge was very enjoyable as everything is quiet at this hour with little hawker pressures - you can hear the village waking up.

There was only one small negative. The bathroom had neither an exhaust nor windows - so it does not quite freshen up.
