Riad Nomades is tucked away down a quiet side street off the souk between the Jema El Fna square and the Riad Larousse area. This puts in within 10-15 minutes walk from most of the main sites. Plus Riad Larousse is one of the main pickup/drop off points for tourist trips, taxis and airport transfers, so it makes travelling further afield so easy.

It's recently changed hands but the previous quality is still there. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. And the Riad itself is spacious and airy, with a nice roof terrace.

Rashid and Zackery, who now run the Riad, couldn't be more helpful and friendly. They were always happy to answer questions, give directions or just to chat. They went out of their way to help me and other guests, even calling tour companies to chase up bookings.

Friendly little hotel in the heart of the Medina...

Spent four nights here during school mid term holiday from UK with two young granddaughters. The girls shared a room and I had one to myself.  So comfortable.  Always spotlessly clean, lots of hot water in the showers and AC too. Pierre is a charming host and nothing is too much trouble for him.  Just seems to want his guests to feel at home and relaxed.  Rooms are all double sized with shower/toilet.  Breakfast is in the dining room downstairs which becomes an Indonesian Restaurant in the evenings. Very quiet, peaceful atmosphere.  No sounds from outside.  This was my fourth visit and I hope to come again.

Wonderful Riad

Riad Nomades is a beautiful Riad easily to find in the quarter Riad Larousse. The owners are two very friendly French gentlemen. They take best care of their guests. The breakfast is very good. The rooms are spacious and the bed very comfortable.  Fresh towels are provided every day. There's a beautiful rooftop with lounge chairs and another one which is a restaurant with a breathtaking view in the evening.  I can warmly recommend this Riad and will for sure be back for another stay, as this time I got sick unfortunately and stayed in bed almost all the time. Thank you so much dear Pascal and Pierre - Alain for your care!

An oasis

Perfect location, just a 10 minutes walk from Jamaa el-Fna, with the Souks in between. 

The room is true Moroccan style. Comfy bed, A/C and hot water. 

The staff is the kindest, speaking both French and English.  

The Riad is 10x better looking than the photos, with a great Indonesian-restaurant in the 1st floor, relaxing 3rd floor with sunbeds and a 4th floor with the best view. There’s also possible to enjoy the Indonesian food at 4th floor. Because of the restaurant, there’s always a lot of people welcoming you, and you feel incredible safe. Do note there is some noise until 10-11 pm, but that is just cosy!

The perfect riad

We stayed at this Riad for 4 nights - and in hindsight it was a good decision. The owners as well as the staff were very friendly and always helpful. Our room was quite beautifully equipped as was the whole Riad. Our favourite part was the terrace which was perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. Would definitely recommend this accommodation!

Top notch Riad

I stayed for two nights at this beautiful traditional house at the borders of the Souks.

Very nice, traditional kept rooms, a beautiful patio and roof terrace.

This alone is reason enough to highly recommend this house.

Plus that I rarely experienced such hospitality and kindness like from the owners of this Riad. I cannot point out enough how grateful I am for your kindness and help!

I will come back, that’s for sure!

A beautiful traditional Riad and great hosts!

The owners are French and they he experience is western oriented, so it is good for European visitors. It is noticeable the effort of the owners to support the local communities as it is seen how they ordered “stucco” in the restaurant, th chairs are made of colored leather of the close manufacturers. Very nice experience. 

Cozzy

The peaceful Riad is a 15 minute walk from Jamaa el Fna, once you learn the streets, located minutes from several good restaurants, including a delicious option downstairs. I stayed for 5 nights over new years, and enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of Pierre and Pascal. The Riad has a terrace upstairs which provides beautiful spaces to relax on or escape the heat and noise. The riad is located just off of one of the larger streets in the medina, so it is easy to navigate once you recognize the major landmarks and start to orient yourself in the medina. There is a taxi stand less than 5 minutes up the road to take a petit taxi to anywhere you need 24/7. The restaurant in the Riad is absolutely packed with flavors and spices, something you will smell and instantly want to eat -- the flavors were excellent.

Being greeted and talking to Pierre, Pascal, or anyone at the Riad was always a pleasure and a source of information. Would reccomend to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay in the Medina, with wonderful hosts. Definately would book again.

Relaxing Riad in the Medina

We stayed at the Riad Nomades for an entire week in late October 2017. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The hosts were very friendly, extremely helpful and provided lots of advice concerning what to do and what rather not. (They even got us a tin of that yummy sweet potato concoction they serve for breakfast, to carry home.)
The room was a very pleasant one, nicely furnished with a double four poster bed and a bathroom with a very good shower. The mattress was fine, and we slept well all the time.
Every morning we were greeted with a sweet breakfast of pancakes of various kinds, rolls, croissants and so on with a selection of jams, a fresh orange juice and another variety of fresh fruit salads daily. A wonderful start into the day.
Due to the riad’s location in the northern Medina, just a few minutes’ walk from the bustling souks and the big square, we had wonderful opportunities to explore the areas of interest without bothering to carry anything, because within minutes we would be back at the hotel to grab the camera or the extra money if required.
Pascale also offers to go on excursions into the Atlas Mountains or other areas around Marrakech. We went to Aït-Ben-Haddou with him and had a wonderful day with lots of impressions that we would not have had if we had travelled alone. He knows the places to see and the people to ask for permissions.
For the times between excursions the riad offers a lovely sun terrace and a very pleasant patio to stay in and read.
The restaurant that belongs to the riad is called Exotic Bali and surprises the guests with dishes of the Balinese kitchen, cooked to perfection. A wonderful alternative to the restaurants in the neighbourhood, when you have tried enough couscous, tajine and the like.
I would recommend the Riad les Nomades any time. And I’m sure to go back there, when I return to Marrakech for another visit.
If you go there for the first time, make sure thatt you book the airport transfer, because otherwise you might have duifficulties finding it!

A woderful riad in the middle of the northern medina od Marrakech

Very nice Riad, good personalized service. Reasonable price.Wish I had more time to enjoy the city and the area (was there for an international event) but would return as a tourist.
