Azulik - Adults Only 

From the moment we arrived, we received impeccable service and attention, beginning with Paola, who checked us in, gave us an overview of the property and amenities, and made us feel warmly welcome and at home. Our Sky Villa upgrade exceeded our wildest expectations, and we spent all five nights of our visit sleeping on the outdoor bed swing hanging directly above the breaking waves, though the room bed with it's mosquito canopy located just inside the two wide doors that opened onto the ocean was equally beautiful and comfy. The round, candlelit villa with its sculptural soaking tub near the ocean doors was a sight to behold every night. Multi-storied plank and wood limb walkways criss-cross the jungle through the vast property and are lit by glowing umber light globes and dotted with pots of burning copal. They are magical to behold and explore, day or night. Between the raised walkways are suspended net floors with scattered cushions for relaxing or having a bite and a drink while floating above pools of water or the jungle canopy itself. We had many meals on property, and not one dish of any meal disappointed. We returned repeatedly to Elixik (breakfast and lunch), Italik (Italian), Tseen Ja (Japanese), and Mirador (the topmost "nest" for sunset viewing and 360° jungle views, with a DJ and bar) and wished we had longer to stay and explore even more of their incredible menu choices, cocktails, and wines. We regrettably did not work time into our vacation to partake of spa services, but admired the various domes, the steam dome and the sound dome especially, and will make sure to try some services on our next visit. We had the great experience of having two spiritual energetic ceremonies conducted for us, both of which focused on gratitude and loving energy, one upon arrival and one at sunset at the highest point of the property. We were so well and warmly taken care of by every employee we encountered throughout our entire stay. Elizabeth, our personal concierge, stayed in contact with us daily, gave us wonderful suggestions for activities both within the resort and outside of it, like the otherworldly cenotes we visited, and greeted us warmly everytime we crossed paths on the property. All our our dining waitstaff were attentive and helpful and friendly. I wish I had had the foresight to jot down names as we went because there were so many people who treated us with such kindness and personal attention, and they all deserve recognition. This place is an 11/10.
