This is a special hostel! I loved it here. I stayed in the private room while travelling solo and not only is it really clean and excellent value for money for a room to yourself, but the atmosphere is great - the kind of place you meet people you will remember later on in your travels. Silvana who works there is absolutely lovely and goes out of her way to make you feel at home. I will be back!

Clean bathrooms and beds. Decent breakfast given the price. Staff is accommodating.Lockers could be improved as well as electrical socket location.It's a short walk to the zocalo, and that wasn't a problem for me.Would stay again.

Good place with good staff

Absolutely amazing stay there! was there for 1 week in total. To mind the best host I have come across in all my travels. very friendly, very informative and super accommodating. the hostel itself is amazing as well. beds are super comfortable and the rooms quaint and tidy. toilets and shower area are superb as well as the hostel being in a fairly quiet area with a short 10min walk to the town centre. Definitely give this hostel a look at if you are in San Christobal

Staying at Pacos

Great hostel, clean kitchen, warm and friendly staff.Located a few blocks away from the hustle and bustle of the historical center which is a perfect location!

Perfect Hostel

La casa de Paco was a great hostel for me. Paco was beyond helpful in showing me things to do around town, never pushing the tours they offered and giving me a multitude of suggestions. He made my stay feel very homey. The beds were comfortable too! The only draw back really was that there isn't a great common area, there's a couple hammocks and small chairs, but that's it. Thanks Paco!! 

Great hostel! 

Very good welcome. We arrive really early. Great staff. Good Internet.  Great breakfast. Thank you. Is located like 5 blocks from downtown.  We bought our tours there it was very convenient.  We had a late checkout. The shared bathrooms are really clean. I recommend. 

Muy recomendable 

Paco's customer service is what made us love this place. Upon arrival, he was so nice and helpful. He let us store our motorcycle in the courtyard which was a huge plus as well. He even spent some time talking us through the city map and telling us where to go, how to get there, how much to pay, etc. etc. The place offers an included continental breakfast of some fruit, a piece of toast, and coffee or tea. We ended up going to a nearby cafe for 2$ breakfast & coffee (El Grano Cafe, go there) because we are hardcore carnivores and coffee snobs, but for people who eat a light breakfast, its fine. The rooms, though slightly run down, are very comfortable and large. We stayed in a private room with one large bed and a set of bunkbeds, but the room itself was very spacious even with all the beds. It was also very reasonably priced at 20$ a night for a private room. The showers have hot water, the hostel is comfy and nice, it is centrally located at about 5-10 min walk to main parts of town, and they give you free filtered water. See cons below...

Very good for budget travellers

WE HAD A NICE WELCOME FROM THE STAFF. FOR THE PRICE IT WAS GREAT. GOOD WELCOME. SHARED BATHROOMS ARE VERY CLEAN. SOME BLOCKS FROM THE MAIN DOWNTOWN. THEY GAVE US A INCREDIBLE DESCRIPTION TO WHERE TO GO. WE BOUGHT THE TOURS IN THE HOTEL AND WAS CHEAP AND GREAT. GOOD CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST WITH FRESH FRUIT AND ORGANIC COFFEE. WE HAD A LATE CHECKOUT, SORRY FOR THAT, BUT WE HAD A NICE TIME IN SAN CRISTOBAL. I RECOMMEND

ITS A GREAT PLACE FOR BACKPACKERS

It is COLD ! The hostel was acceptable, not special,.. many places in San Cristobal same price or cheaper, and the same price ones usually give a better breakfast,.. but the true heartbreak was what they do to the coffee,.. tim horton fans would not drink it, is that bad ! Wonderful Cafe de Chiapas, the best coffee in the world and they water it down to "coffee-like-beverage". Well,.. its still better then nescafe instant which is found all over Mexico, but not by much. 
Peter the local know-it-all does have a fine repertoire of lore and gnosis,.. just don't look smart or he will resent you, lol. 
Paco was absent but Josephine never stopped working and all Paco's orders came from Peter, "Paco says,.."
Not bad but right across from the bus/colectivo area are a few others places, cheap and good,.. Puerto Viaja, charges the same and gives Chili-cillies for breakfast.
