7781 reviewsThis place has so much potential to be even better than it is. Check in was quick. The rooms aren't the most modernist but are clean and the bed is very comfortable, I have an Emma mattress at home and could compare it to being similar, the bed was huge!! There is a free to use safe and a small fridge with water. There is also a iron and ironing board and a hairdryer. There is plenty of wardrobe space and a desk with deep drawers. We had a balcony with 2 chairs but could've done with a table as no where to put drinks etc. The food was amazing. I'm a fussy eater but always found something to eat. Breakfast there are freshly cooked to order omelettes as well as waffles (these are amazing 😋) and all the other stuff you would find at breakfast, cereals, fruit, yogurts etc. At lunch there was show cooking with a variety of dishes. Also there is a pasta station which freshly cooked pasta to order. Thursday night is Mexican night in the garden (no restaurant) I did struggle to find something to eat on this night. They also do other themed nights in the restaurant. We were there 2 weeks and these nights were repeated weekly. If you have children that are fussy eaters they might struggle to find something to eat. There is a snack bar that serves, burgers, chips and hot dogs throughout the day and also pizza too so good idea to use these if you have fussy eaters. 2 bars at either end of the resort, the one by the 2 pools which does the burgers/hot dogs and chips, make the best Pina Coladas. This one is open 11am-6pm and the other bar is open 10.30am-10.30pm. There is some entertainment every night around 8pm but this is usually finished by 9.30pm. There are 5 pools altogether. One by the Iguana restaurant which has aqua aerobics, volleyball etc going on and a smaller children's pool nearby. Over the other side of the resort is 3 more pools, 1 deep one, 1 medium size one and another smaller children's size pool (up to about knee deep for adults). There are plenty of sunbeds all around the resort and not just by the pools, on sun terraces too. There are no umbrellas which move, just fixed thatched umbrella style ones and a couple of shaded areas from trees. There are a limited number of beds that are in shaded areas. There is steps down to the beach, again plenty of sunbeds and limited shaded ones. There isn't many sunbeds by the pool that has activities on (13 I think) and they are all under the shade. There is 2 access points to the beach, either end of the resort. Another small addition of tables with the sunbeds would be amazing as there is nowhere to put your drinks etc. The inflatable water activity shown in the hotel pictures is no longer there so this picture should be removed. The resort is very clean, there is always someone, somewhere cleaning something, wether it's the guy cleaning up seaweed from the sand or the one in the pool cleaning the tiles. However, there are some cracked/chipped tiles in some of the pools. Although there are various slopes around the resort, if you had serious mobility problems then these might cause some issues to access certain parts of the resort. There is a small shop on site selling a limited variety of things. There is also an Oxxo convience store next door to the right of the hotel about 2-3 min walk. They provided a cake in the room and balloons on our arrival as it was my husbands birthday. We also celebrated our 25th anniversary there and was given a bottle of wine, balloons and some towel art which was lovely. All in all, we were very impressed with our stay, a good solid 3 star resort. Would recommend staying here and we would certainly go back. Would also like to mention Guadeloupe in the Iguanq Restuarent who kept us supplied with drinks before we even finished the ones we had and was always so happy and just a generally genuine guy. He's a credit to the hotel.
