My partner and I had a brilliant time staying at Ithaa Thoddoo. This small independent hotel is run by Adam, who didn't measure efforts to make us feel welcomed. There are no "luxuries" like those that money can easily buy, but the true luxury here is the genuine, heartfelt and kindness you'll receive from Adam, his wife and fellow workers.

The hotel room we stayed in was super clean. I'm OCD myself so for me to say that it was clean, trust me, clean it was.

I highly recommend and the value for money is great! Also, Ithaa Thoddoo is a short walk from the beach situated in the north of the island, which is even more beautiful and idilic than the Sunset Beach.

Adam is an excellent marine life guide too, so rely on him to swim with mantas!!

Amazing stay with Amazing people

Had a great time in Ithaa Thoddo Inn. The service was great, good breakfast with a lot of fresh friuts, pancakes, toast, eggs and freash juice. Guesthouse also organize a trip to one amazing sandbank. Nice staff and very helpful. Would recommand, great value for money. 

Ithaa Thoddoo Maldives 

We spent 5 wonderful days in Thoddoo! Many thanks to the hosts of Ithaa Thoddoo Inn who made it possible. Ana is always here for you, she’s so kind and helpful, she tries to make everyone happy, and she cooks amazing pancakes! Ibrahim Chica, the owner of the guest house, is always ready to give a helping hand as well. We liked the interior of the room very much, rooms are stylish and minimalistic, cosy and clean, many objects are made of wood which makes you feel closer to the nature. There’s a beautiful garden with plants with big leaves and lovely flowers. The dining area is also beautifully designed with many details and plants. And the cherry on the cake are two adorable parrots, the grey one is talkative and he really likes when you scratch his back. Once we had a delicious dinner with grilled tuna and vegetables. There are some shops and cafes nearby, but make sure that you have cash, because they do not accept cards. Two beaches are not far from the hotel, about 10 minutes walk. So, I liked the place immensely, and I would 100% like to go back there some day ❤️

Warm hospitality :)))

We were on last minute looking for an island to go to as our hotel from Mathiveri island was no more in service!  
So while looking for another island and a place to stay  for a couple of days, we called the Ithaa Thoddoo hotel to double-check availability. Ana answered us ; we felt reassured so we took a boat from Rasdhoo (only 2 departures) to Thoddoo and a warm welcome came from her. 
She made our stay really great. We had my partner's 40th birthday for whom she cooked a French speciality (French crepes) but also a really nice dinner (fresh grilled fish and veggies- sweet potato, peppers, potatoes,etc).

The place is ideally located (5 min from the beach - sunrise beach) and the sunset beach (around 10min). Room is confortable but we would have preferred a king sized bed.
You can walk around the city (locals leave around so you can feel the real life there (mosques, boutiques, schools, etc)
You have warm water, sink, toilet, miror, TV, wardrobe and adaptateurs (if you have French or US plugs) available, bottles of water and a kettle / fridge on demand
TV (antenna) did not work so Chica, the owner, gave us a couple of USB keys to plug directly on the TV with films / videoclips inside to watch. That was a nice gesture!

The offered local breakfast at the Ithaa Thoddoo is really nice (continental available too)! I recommend it. There is no kitchen there so just tables to  sit and have breakfast prepared by Ana and a local lady (Since there is no kitchen you can't expect a lot of choices there but what is necessary to start the  day. Otherwise nearby markets are available.)
A lot of families with young children were there so I suppose it is good for families too.

Two beautiful parrots are around and one of them will say 'Hello' or 'Good-bye' to you, especially the grey one- really cute! 

The owner, Chica, was also very helpful when we needed anything fixed, or even to get our first coconut drinks of our trip! was so good! He also helped us find in last minute a speedboat to leave the island to go to a new one to finish our trip to Maldives. A young man also was around to help but I cannot recall his name.

Upcoming news : Ana will open a restaurant nearby the hotel in a few weeks and I am pretty sure it will be a great asset to this hotel ! She understands people with food allergies or intolerances so a great plus for me as she could advise me in that regard.

Note: when you book directly with the hotel, the price gets cheaper. The hotel is still being embellished /finished up so I trust in a few weeks it will be really nice. It was already the case when we were there (early January). All is new.
