We stayed in this hotel, we took two connected rooms, the rooms are authentically renovated, with clean bed sheets, an amazing view from the balcony, we enjoyed our stay, we did not expect more, the rooms are warm, hot water for shower is always available, the only thing is breakfast is poor and Wi-Fi is only available at the pool area.

Family stay at Ehden Abchi Hotel

With all the terrible reviews already written on this hotel, we booked a night for the Ehdeniyat music festival with full knowledge of what to expect, so we were actually moderately pleased by our stay.
The room was clean, as well as the bed sheets, our balcony offered a beautiful view onto the valley below and the AC worked without problem. We got a late checkout up to 2PM and used the whole time to get properly sun-burnt by the pool, shisha in hand 
That's for the good part. 
Now there's plenty of bad to balance the karma of this establishment:
- the waiters were totally overwhelmed by the high occupancy and acted like untrained amateurs. However, after a first curt remark on the shisha that never came on the first evening, they went above and beyond the line of duty to make sure that everything was spot-on the next day
- the acoustic of the master staircase is worse than awful: it actually amplifies the sound and distributes it evenly on all floors, so that you don't miss any of tje screams of kids and families bantering below
- the breakfast buffet was a pitiful joke both in terms of diversity and quality.

With all of the above in mind, I would still go back to Grand Abchi. Ehden is nothing short of a wonderful village and there is an  air of authenticity to this countryside hotel that made me want to stay longer.
One can say that I'm a bit of a snob, but still, I cannot judge this one too harshly.
I managed my expectations and enjoyed what it had to offer at a very reasonable price level, given the outrageous competition. 


Manage your expectations

We knew it us an old hotel, yet hotel reception said they offer 5 star hotel accommodation as they are rated. We came for a family gathering- asked fir connected rooms, and Hotel said it us available. Also we asked for two other rooms. On arrival the connected rooms were old and not renovated so we moved to 3rd floor and we checked in. Then we recognized that the four rooms smells (bathrooms) so they said the smell will go if the respirator put on ... it did not help .. the kids were tired .. we dined at Midan , when taking shower the water would flood out of the showers.. all 4 rooms .. 
the breakfast was tasty and good , staff very friendly and tried their best , keep saying ( it is an old hotel we canot do more) they offered refreshing odor spray, 
Since the hotel carries the names of the owners, who runs a big noted Hotel at Beirut Down Town , i wonder why not taking care, also the hotel is not fit for wheelchairs or handicapped or elderly or special walking needs.. stairs all over

the pool was clean but as expected cold due to location.. they view is great, and spacious lobby and nice balconies and places to relax beside the pool

Hotel had the potential to be good , yet lacking essential infrastructure

The hotel is big very dirty with old and cheap furnitures. Lobby : tables and other cleaned on the top only..lustre extreemly dirty. Rooms : small and dirty. Bathrooms : very very small and no cover on the WC...We were smelling dust everywhere. Basic breakfast. Expensive for what you have.

Going with my family to spend 2 days at Ehden. This hotel was the only choice in our organized trip. 
Located at a wonderful area at Ehden. Hotel's outdoor overlooks the beautiful mounts of Ehden, old houses surrounding. It takes 15 min only to arrive to the old town of Ehden.
Regarding the hotel and services:
- Room space is acceptable, clean. Beds are good and comfortable
-AC remotes are not functioning well. We replaced it many times.  
-Phone is not functioning well.
- Refrigerator is empty. Even there is no small bottle of water
- No safe at the room's closet.
-Balcony is common between our room and neighbor room 😆 we were obliged to close the door and curtains all the time.  
- Bathroom is veryyy baaad. Tight, old sanitary system, it takes 10 min to get hot water and to moderate the temperature. After you finish the shower, you see the water on the bathroom's floor 😃
- Pool is not clean to swim
- Breakfast is veryy poor, I got something from the outside to eat.
- Any extra beverage or turkish coffee is  charged. 
- I guess that it doesn't worth to spend more than one night and several adjustments must be done to improve the quality of the hotel.

Do not recommend at all

After having booked a couple of weeks in advance with the intention of showing a traveling friend ehden and driving for three hours,  we found out that hotel was closed .No one was around to give us answers except a worker who gave us number of the person in charge . The latter said that the hotel is undergoing some maintenance and he can't do much !!!!! No one bothered to tell us nor call to cancel reservation ..very rude and unethical .. I do not recommend it to anyone !!!
