The room is okay with comfy bed and hot shower. Perfect for a one night sleepover.
Issue is : staff is truly dishonnest. We asked about where to buy slow boat ticket and the man at the reception said to us that we could buy tickets directly to him and that it was exactly the same price as on the pier. I said I was skeptical about this being the same price but he looked at me in the eyes and said it was true. Next day we coul see we paid 240.000 kip each ticket which in fact cost 210.000 kip. It was a big lie...So be careful.

Room is okay but dishonnest staff

We made a booking at the guesthouse but on arrival couldn't find staff in here or the Hotel across the road. After hanging around for 10 minutes a guy ran across the road waving. He explained he had been for a shower and apologised (to be fair we had said we would arrive in the evening be were a few hours early). As we checked in he explained he had upgraded us to the Hotel but the price would stay the same. The reception area is impressive, white marble floors and large wood tables and even a little fish pond in the back. The room was clean and tidy and great for $8 a night! The bathroom is a little small and the sink was leaking (we reported it on our way out). We didn't choose breakfast as there was a little confusion over what time we could eat as we had to leave early. The guys English isn't great but he is as helpful as he can be. Overall a great price for a decent room. 

Good room, good price

This is a budget guesthouse and is good value.  It is clean, and I was quite happy with my one night stay there.  I had trouble getting the hot water turned on (my fault, I did not know how to do it) but staff came immediately to show me.  Wifi worked well.

Clean, good bed, hot shower - all you need

The staff speaks english.
The room is big, but sheets not clean, the shower has no curtain which makes the whole bathroom wet.
It is just off main street, which makes it a bit more quiet than on main street.
There is no breakfast or any food served.
There is no wifi in the room, just in the common area.
The price is good for what you get.
