Coco De Ville

This hotel, or to say it better, private villa with bedrooms on a first floor, was a pleasant discovery on my first days of travel along Kenya's south coast. Privacy and security where consistently at a high level due to walls surrounding the mansion and discreet vigilance at night, to the point that even the name of the villa was not easily discernible and its position not generally known by locals. In the secluded garden, hosting a pool with a twist and flair uncommon in more commercial venues, monkeys can be seen pacing up in the air between trees, attending their daily routine or eyeing with curiosity the human guests below. With a little patience they can be approached but remember that they are not shy of visiting guest rooms if they get too confident. The personnel is always available and friendly, and a chef can be booked for taylor-made meals in the veranda. The coast is a few minutes away with kite rentals and a beach restaurant.
