Good decoration and there are many shops for buying things. Foods or desserts. Feel like walking in fairy tale.

Just walk and eat enjoying the Yufu mountain. Many points for photo taking

It was so cute small village with Swiss vibes. There are shops that sell a lot of cute stuffs, a small zoo that you can look around and buy food to feed the animals. We like the owl cage. All the owls are so cute we could spend all day watching them!

Easy access to Yufuin by train. From the yufuin station just walked along the main street to Kinrinko lake. We enjoyed shopping along the street. So much things to buy n see. We ate onsen eggs n tried foot bath. The B-speak cake house is a must in Yufuin. The cake is selling fast. Small size can be preordered. We bought original a big roll cake. It was so yummylicious. We wanted to buy another on the way back but all so out. Another stop is Cheese cake at Milch. The pudding is delicious n smooth. Yufuin floral village has brought us back to kids time. Took photos with Peter Rabbit, Shaun the sheep etc.Then we continued our walk to Lake Kinrinko where we can see golden fish. The scales of fish glem gold in the afternoon. So lovely and beautiful place. If you are in Kyushu Yufuin onsen n floral village shouldn't be missed

Yufuin is a small town but surprisingly this Floral village brings back childhood memories of our favorite jap cartoons. Many small shops selling cartoons collectibles, precious gems, a cafe that allows interaction with cats. Connecting to the floral village is the main shopping streets which is another amazing place. Yunostubo street is about 1km long and lined with many many shops selling local ha dicrafts, artifacts, local jap products, plenty of cafes selling milk puddings, cheese cakes, drinks, japanese snacks.. easily we spent 3hrs there threading in and out those shops, trying everything we see and buying stuffs mainly food since it is a practical and unique gifts. Must go if you are in Yufuin, no regrets.
Note: i went in dec which is winter, street is cold, wear warmly to shop. But it is a great experience esp. So many people there, unexpected but adds alot more life to this quaint little town


We went to this town in the most beautiful season - Autumn. The weather was extremely pleasant, sunshine everywhere and you can enjoy walking along the streets, enjoying the food or shop for some local souvenirs. It took us a few hours going by bus from Beppu city, but the ambience of Yufuin was totally worth it. The only bad thing about it was that it tends to get quite crowded from noon, so if you want to take photos, be sure to visit early to avoid the crowds.

Many animal, Cafe and caractor shop are available here. You can shopping cute goods, feed the cute animals, and spent the time in some pet cafe.
But the crowded tourist, you may not able to take a more time here or waiting time is so long. 

I really didn't have any knowledge about this place before visiting. Not sure what connects England and animation and fairy tales and hot spring. But there was jam-packed tourist.  Good place to buy gift I guess.

A modernised side of Oita. There are many stores selling souvenirs and food as well as anime merchandise. As such the village is popular to both locals and tourists. The mini zoo was very crowded and I had difficulty squeezing pass people. Apart from that it is worth visiting this place.

Cute and Crowded

Very tourist place with lots of visitors and tour buses around. The floral village itself was very average but the surrounding shops are good to browse through.

The village has shops dedicated to certain mangas or anime and themed cafes such as an owl cafe.

Average.. overpriced and a bit of a gimmick

The reason we visit this village, its because their feature owl - not just 1 owl, it's more than 15 owls. You need to get an entrance ticket , for the harry potter section to take photo you need to pay another fee. 

Keep those receipt - so you can use the bathroom for free without paying extra yen.
