If you had every made an effort looking for a hotel around Yufu area, you would have noticed how rare it is to find a hotel with private outdoor onsen. The food was very good, a fusion of western & Japanese. Living in the private little "hut" with tatami floor was such a nice experience that you'd have only expected in TV dramas. The only area of improvement is that they have the showers outside the hut. So, if you're going there in a cold winter, the pre-onsen shower would be a challenge. As a budget traveler who does not drive, this hotel is located within walking distance from the station and it priced reasonably without scarifying qualities. Highly recommended for this price range.
