This place has been unbelievable because the island is absolutely gorgeous, the beaches unreal, and the hotel is spotlessly clean, amazing location, lovely staff & delicious food! On top of all this, the hotel has a comprehensive shuttle service to anywhere you could want to go, fins, snorkels, and more! Love this place so much!

Unbelievable 

We rented two rooms during our stay. This is a typical beachfront hotel with shuttle service to the port and local beaches. One item of note is the bathroom, there was a good 12 inch vertical step from the floor to get in and out of the bathroom.

Average hotel

I stayed four nights at Kerama Beach Hotel in April 2019. I had a lovely stay and the staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. They have regular shuttles that take you to all of the important sights on the island so accessibility and transportation are not a problem at all. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Western style rooms with ensuite bathrooms. And I had a view of the beach from my room. I really enjoyed all of my meals there. It's a set menu for every meal. There were Japanese and Western dishes that alternated depending on the day and everything was delicious! Everybody who works there is very friendly and helpful. When I had a few hours to kill before my ferry on my last day and decided to walk around the island, they offered to send my suitcase with the next shuttle so I wouldn't have to carry it around or have to put it in storage at the pier. I thought this was a very considerate gesture! When I came down with a bad cold (that I caught from the plane), they went out of their way to take me to the clinic and the store so I could buy electrolyte drinks to rehydrate. They made sure that I was taken care of. I cannot say nice enough things about this hotel - I highly recommend it! If I come back to Zamami, I will definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel and exceptional staff

Clean and huge room. Complimentary Shuttle service is handy. Dinner is included and not bad.... breakfast is simple so I will skip next time and sleep longer (as it finish at 9am and checkout is too early at 10am).

Nothing much around , neither is the port area. But really a relaxing 32 hours.... I will be back for sure. 

Great team and will recommend to stay. 

Quiet and relaxing 

The best part of the stay at the hotel was the happy and friendly staff. 

I stayed here during an overnight trip to Zumami island.  I was in a group of four in the area for some snorkeling and photography fun.  The hotel shuttle was available at the ferry port, we had a loaner vehicle available so did not use the shuttle.  

The rooms were spacious and clean with a balcony that had an obstructed view of the beach.  The one negative of the room is that the all power is removed when you take your key out to leave.  While this is common for the area, it means your room will be hot and the fridge off while you are exploring the island.  

The hotel has a restaurant, the stay we had included the meals.  There is no choice in food, it is chef's choice.  The meal was good and definitely added to the value of my stay.   

The hotel runs dive trips from the grounds but we did not have time to take a dive trip.  They also have a shuttle that runs to the different beaches, also not used by my group. 

I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Clean secluded hotel near the beach.

Staff was friendly. Nothing to do around the hotel. You don’t get to choose what you eat, just wants served to you. The room we stayed in had no view. Good enough for a place sleep only. Don’t think we will return.

Our stay 

Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It is not luxurious but you feel welcome and the staff treat everyone the same so you feel at home. Breakfast and dinner is included and it is good value. We have been here twice and the food is quite good. We ask for the Japanese meals and they are quite traditional but then you know what you get is fresh and healthy because that is the Okinawan diet.
It is a bit away from the main village on the island and all the bars and restaurants but the staff will shuttle you back and forth if you really need it. The island is not too big and you can walk all around it in a couple of hours and you will be greeted with all the fresh sea air you can possible breath in and some astonishing breathtaking views of the shoreline and the huge eats China sea. If you are lucky and come in the winter months, you can actually watch humpback whales from the shore.
Can really recommend this place.

Far away from daylight stress and noises.

We visited Zamami in April and are very glad we chose the Kerama Beach Hotel. Overall we had a really nice time despite being unlucky with the weather. 

Location 

The hotel is in Asa Hamlet which is away from most other places and restaurants etc. Obviously that can be a good or a bad thing depending on your point of view. The village is about a 25 min walk. The Furuzamami beach is about a 15 min walk and Ama a bit further so about 35 mins. However there is a bus service from virtually outside the hotel and the staff are also happy to drop you off and either of these places. So the remoteness is a positive in my view as you get the best of both worlds. If you prefer being in centre of everything though then maybe this isn't the best hotel for you. But if you want the true tropical island experience why would you want to be in town? Also there's a beach right by the hotel which goes the length of the bay and was completely deserted when we were there. 

Staff

They are some of the most helpful we've ever come across. They really do want you to have the perfect stay and will do whatever they can to help achieve that. As we didn't have great weather they they arranged for a magician to put on an impromptu show for is after dinner which was such a lovely touch. 

Food

Being half board you really are at the mercy of what they serve up but I can honesty say we didn't have one bad meal. In fact we had some of the nicest sashimi in the whole of our time in Japan. The meals tended to be western one day followed by Japanese the next which suited us, especially at breakfast where the whole local serving can be a bit much every day. 

Room

Perfectly nice with a balcony overlooking the bay. The balcony didn't have a table and chairs which would be my only criticism. The beds were comfy and had a decent enough shower/bath. 

Wifi

This was a bit erratic and only available in the lobby area. We had to use the free Port information centre wifi a couple of times to catch up with the outside world but that's not the end of the world. 

So we would definitely stay here again if we ever returned to Zamimi and would recommend it to anyone else going there.
