7 reviewsIf you are looking for accommodation with fabulous views in a beautiful tranquil environment then you must stay in Fondaco del Fico. The bed and breakfast is set in the hills above the beautiful town of Roccella and looking down onto the castle and the stunning azure waters of the Ionian Sea. Franco and Anna are the perfect hosts and share a wealth of knowledge of Roccella and Calabria itself. The drive to the town of Roccella takes about 5minutes from the B&B and there are many local restaurants nearby that serve delicious food and wine at very reasonable cost. The huge breakfast of coffee, almond milk, jams, yogurt, fresh bread, sweet biscuits and fresh fruit (figs, mandarins, oranges and other fruits that are in season), are served on the patio where you can admire the beautiful view and enjoy the scents of jasmine and rosemary from the garden. It is the perfect place for exploring Calabria and our room itself was very clean, bright, airy and well equipped. We would highly recommend staying at Fondaco del Fico and they were so welcoming to our dog and will look after your dog while you explore the area.
