Stayed 4 nights at Bogamari and only have good things to say.  This property is in an excellent location, was immaculately clean and the owner is very easy to communicate with.  There is plenty of free street parking and the property is easy walking distance to the town of Alghero

Excellent host, excellent location

Our room was small and a little dated (as are most in Sardinia) but had everything we needed. Lovely balcony nice shower and Very very welcoming Hosts. Rosa the Mum was adorable and her son very helpful. It is a fantastic location with street parking. right on the promenade and short walk into the old town. restaurants and cafes right on the door step. They supplied everything needed for the beaches - mats, umbrellas, beach bags and coolers chairs! you name it they have it to borrow. very handy! The kitchen is handy with use of fridge freezer. lovely stay. we didn't have breakfast and it us on the 2nd floor with steps.

Very Clean, Lovely Hosts, Great Location

Firstly, the location is very good; close to Alghero main beach and within walking distance of the old town.  Our room was clean, ensuite, with a small patio with a sea view that had a small table and a couple of chairs.  The downside was the breakfast, which was so bad we decided to skip a booked second night and move on to somewhere else.  There was nobody around, and it was help yourself.  The coffee had to be made by individual cups using an espresso maker on a gas hob.  Then it had to be washed out for the next person.  Another guest burnt his hand on the espresso maker and one other guest gave up and had tea.  Dried up cake was left under glass cloches marked with each room, and a bowl of cut up melon was in the fridge, again marked with each room.  There was some old tomatoes left out in a bowl.  The guests were then required to put their used cups and items into the dishwasher.  All a bit grim considering this was advertised as having breakfast included in the price which in my books doesn't constitute having a hunt in the fridge to see what was available.  The lady was very friendly, however, if you're paying for a service, and we paid 140 Euros for two of us for two nights in late September, you expect something in return.

Really bad breakfast and left to own devices

We've stayed here before and loved it, the location, facilities and warm welcome. Rosa is just the most wonderful host and nothing is ever too much trouble. The rooms are everything you'd want and need, clean and neat with a great en suite. Would not have any hesitation in recommending Bogamari. Thank you again Rosa XXX

Our Favourite Place UN Alghero

We had a great welcome to Bogamari in Alghero from Rosa and Nicolas,  the rooms are beautiful and right in the centre of everything. As two friends staying at the B&B, we wanted to have two separate beds - this was no trouble as our room was arranged so we had two beds. We really appreciated this :-) I found the Bogamari great value for money, the rooms and view from balcony are excellent as well as being near to the beach and restaurants. We really enjoyed and hope to come back next year - thank you Rosa and Nicolas. :-)

A beautiful B&B in the centre of Alghero

Nicolas and Rosa were extremely helpful and very good hosts we had a car but we didnt needed as the location was excellent walking to the old towm and pia maria beach was easy !they gave us tips of where to go and made sure we had everything we needed! Thank you again

Very very beautiful

I booked this place because of all the amazing reviews. My boyfriend loves food and every single review goes on about this amazing breakfast with so much food. I could not believe it during our stay, barely anything, even the sliced apple wasn't even a whole of a sliced apple and a few chunks of banana. As for the homemade cake, nonsense too, small slice on of the days and the rest was vacum packed chocolate crossaint. I think the problem was that we didn't speak Italian (sorry about this but I cannot be fluent in Italian for just a weekend visit). I think people who have been welcomed amazingly must've spoken Italian. 

I also booked it for the 'sea view' - total utter disappointment as it's down a side road and yes you can see water but it's hardly the sea view people rave on about. I know it's not a luxury hotel but it's certainly not as great as the reviews.

Rooms are also much smaller than the pictures make them look to be.

I loved Alghero and will certainly go back one day.

Did not live up to the reviews

We stayed at this B&B for 3 nights in September of this year. Our host was Paolo. Paolo is a great guy. Every morning he made us a fantastic breakfast, a very Italian breakfast he would say. Our room was good. The Bogamari is located across the street from the boardwalk and about a ten minute walk in one direction to the beach, or a ten minute walk in the other direction to the historical center. One day, Paolo let us do our laundry in the B&B and refused any offer to pay for it.
