We stayed in room 1 for one night.  So nice to get off the train from Palermo and walk straight to platform 5 .  There is some exterior paint  work right now but not noisy.   Pleasantly surprised at the clean, modern appearance.  We were told we could use the cafe/lounge and noted espresso machine, teas, electrics kettles, sweet treats, cereal, fruits, yogurts, packaged croissants , and cakes.  Our check in person was a friendly and helpful young lady 
.  Easy to catch the bus or taxi to the temple.  
Our room was a short hike but that’s ok.  Spacious and well lit.  Convenient kitchenette with a mini fridge already stocked with yogurt, milk, juices, water.  More sweet treats and cereal on the table.  Showers huge with lots of hot water and excellent pressure.  Very quiet at night but you will get train noises early .  Didn’t bother me, but hubby got awoken.  

Btw- if you want something unique for take away , I highly recommend polleria palumbo, a 9-10 minute walk through stairs upon stairs (be forewarned) but the result is a neighborhood hole in the wall for the best rotisserie chicken I’ve ever had such amazing chicken for 4 euros for 1/2 a fresh chicken! So juicy and well seasoned.  They take card.  

The hotel rates were very reasonable and easy to drop keys off in the am.

Train station Hotel!

I booked and stayed 4 nights. The friendly receptionist was there at the time I nominated for my arrival by train. She only spoke a small amount of English but enough to get my booking sorted. No breakfast available but there are a few wrapped food items you are allowed to take to make your own breakfast in your room. No extra payment required. 

Gave me a detailed booklet which was in English to help with my sightseeing. 

The first room I was given #12 (red) had an issue with wifi which couldn’t be fixed immediately so she moved me from a double room to a quadruple room #14 (blue). The blue room was great as there was a lot more room but no lounge. 

TV has no English channels but I was able to stream from iPad with HDMI cable. Bins emptied and fresh towels provided each day. 

The only issue and it is a big one for some, the noise of the bells ringing outside the station masters office every time a train is due to arrive is very loud and quite annoying. Try and get a room at the other end of the building. Room 14 is directly over the station masters office so it’s loudest here. Lower number rooms may not have it so bad. No trains at night so it didn’t wake me up. I just learnt to ignore it but I know some people would be screaming. 

On platform 5 at train station 

This is a very nice, modern hotel. Recently renovated and the staff provides excellent service! However: It is not easy to find. It is located on the platform of the train station in Agrigento, opposite the carpark. Very easy to reach if you know what your looking for!

Our four year old was THRILLED to watch the trains out the window of our room. The hotel is literally located on platform five. The room - and entire hotel - was clean, modern and conformable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great modern hotel in the coolest location!

Federica was more than helpful and kind when assisting us with obtaining a room for the night. We missed our train and there were no other trains running, so my friend and I wandered over to this lovely hotel. The entrance is next to the train rails and is very convenient for catching your train the next morning.  The hotel itself had a modern appeal, simple and beautiful decor. We loved the cleanliness of our room and how it had the "home" feel. Kitchen comes stocked with pastries and coffee for the morning. The bathroom shower had plenty of hot water and toiletries. Bed was comfy for one night. Restaurants were less than a five minute walk away.  

However, since it is located at the train station, be wary of going out alone at night. The front door of the hotel remains locked and you are given a key for access at your leisure.

I wish we would have stayed there when we first arrived because it was difficult to drag our luggage up so many hills to our B&B.

As for the noise level, we did not hear too much noise after dark. The trains stop running after dark and the ringing noises from the station ceases when it gets dark. The noise level is only perpetuated if we leave our windows open. 

Also, there is AC to keep the room as cold as you wish. This was a HUGE plus for us since we were practically dying from the heat.

Nice room with railways view and train noises during the whole night! Highly appreciated if you enjoy loud hornes between 4-7 a.m :) Other than this , clean rooms, nice receptionist and free wi-fi. Free parking

The noisiest experience I ever had

This hotel is a Sicilian version of Harry Potter....impossible to find unless you are part of a small minority group of beings that enter through Kings Cross platform 9 3/4 ......though in this case it is Agrigento Stazione Centrale, platform 5. No one, including station or tourist information staff know this hotel exists,or its possible location. The location was eventually discovered using the magic of internet connection, but that was just the beginning of a bizarre accommodation experience.
This hotel is conveniently located if you wish to travel by train to Palermo as part of a trip, or if you want to be near the lovely shopping and eating precinct of old Agrigento......however it is a little intimidating returning at night through either a deserted railway station or dodgy car park after dining out !
The accommodation was new, modern and clean but also sterile and deserted. The first train arrives around 5 o'clock in the morning to platform 5, and even double glazing could not stop the noise generated by a train arriving right outside your window! The hotel is only staffed in the morning for a short time, staff have limited English and little interest in trying to communicate at any level other than providing the most basic of instruction about the hotel or local attractions. We were travelling with family and found this hotel a strange and funny accommodation experience , which we will dine out on for quite some time!

Harry Potter Sicilian style

It was very very clean overall, and the staff are friendly. but the only downside is that the hotel is INSIDE the train station, and the bell in the station will ring about 5am in the morning, so be sure you have your earplugs!
