Fantastic location, for bars and Harbour. 
Parking is easy and hotel offers a reduced rate. 
Staff are very friendly and helpful. 
Room was clean, bed and pillows are comfy. Our room was next to a main road, but you couldn't hear it at all. You could however hear the noise from other rooms fan heater system or bathroom fan, and does make a constant hammering noise. 

The room decor is a bit tired and probably needs some renovation. The restaurant and bar were being renovated while we were there, so maybe the rooms might get some TLC too soon. 

The breakfast was nice, although we thought it lacked baked beans. 

We would definitely stay here again. 

This was our first time visiting Galway - we based our choice of the House Hotel by the reviews online and we made a great decision! It’s centrally located to all the fun pubs/shops/and the Spanish Arch, and everything is very walkable. We decided to walk from the train station to the hotel, and it’s super close and was easily walkable even with luggage. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious! Would stay there again if we return to Galway!

Excellent value, spotless room, great breakfast and perfect location for wandering the city centre. The staff at reception were very friendly also. We visit galway often and this was the best value we have had yet and we will definitely be back.

This is a really central hotel. It was such good value with breakfast included in the price. The staff on every level looked after us from Reception to breakfast. Definitely with a stay. Would recommend

What causes a visitor to really like a Hotel?
Friendship at reception, friendly staff,comfortable room, good food,
decor , ambience, atmosphere, convenience and location, are all good indicators.
The House hotel fulfills all these general requirements and more. It is a beautiful hotel, inside and out, which allows the guest explore all the delights of Galway City right outside the doorstep.
Then there are the particulars unique to each guest. For this one, great mattress and pillows, hot towels, powerful shower, good breakfast, friendly service from friendly staff, are important.The House Hotel delivers here too. I want to acknowledge the happy, cheerful, helpful, young Staff serving Breakfast, especially the young lady from Roscommon, my native county.
The House Hotel is well named. It really is " home away from home".



From stepping inside the door of the House hotel to checking out the next day, everything about this hotel was just perfect! I don’t know if I’ve ever encountered a happier, friendlier staff in all of my hotel stays through the years. The deluxe room was huge with a really comfortable bed. Breakfast was substantial and delicious. It was the perfect post- Christmas break. I can’t wait to return again soon.

Great Service! Friendly, always smiling staff, paying attention to customers. We came over bit late, but there was no issue with table and orders. Nice selection of food, delighted by amazing pancakes!! really recommend breakfast here!

From the start to finish of our stay we enjoyed our stay. The staff were genuinely so friendly and helpful. Our breakfast was cooked fresh and also a full Irish buffet breakfast and continental breakfast available. The hotel ambiance was relaxed and inviting.

Having stayed in a few hotels without lifts or small but important conveniences, such as wifi and hot water, we were relieved to get to the House Hotel in Galway, which is very modern. A relatively short walk from the train station and well signposted, this hotel sets out to provide the atmosphere of staying in one’s home and the biggest compliment we can pay is that they succeeded. From the afternoon tea (book in advance) to the rapid dry-cleaning service (1 day, or even same day) to the 2 for price of 1 cocktails (mujitos very good) we had a relaxing enjoyable time. A great breakfast buffet with yogurt, fruit juices and pastries, as well as a full-Irish breakfast option, including black and white pudding and scrambled eggs. The service was quick and considerate, with every effort to accommodate timetables etc. Highly recommended.

Amazing hotel: Lovely and helpful staff, nice and clean rooms, nice breakfast (try the eggs benedict), perfect location. Hotels like this one are hard to find in Ireland.
