We stayed in Good Karma for few days and all the staff been so friendly and always helpful. If you are adventurous they have fantastic selection of tours (great value for money). This hostel is placed in a great location! Very tidy and quirky interior! Especially second floor room!!! Loved it! There are nice restaurants around. Vegetarian restaurant “via via” (my personal favourite) Another one is Milos. If you have enough time explore more! if you need some clothes there are some local designer shops with very nice things (clothes, bags, zero waste things and etc.) if you need a massage, there are a selection down the street. For nightlife there is so many places to dance, drink and listen life music! If this hostel is fully booked I highly recommend Happy Buddha hostel, Enjoy!

Great location, Beautiful rooms, friendly staff (they have great selections tours)

Stayed here for a week and can say it’s a special place, built with love. It’s unique, boutique. Staff speak very good English. Everything super clean, they take very good care of the rooms, clean the beds thoroughly. Have seen how cleaning lady was scrubbing everyhting.

A week in a place built with love

The beds are very comfy but unfortunately the female dorm has no windows. The hostel is located in a very nice area. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood but only a few minutes walk away from local and fancy-hipster restaurants and bars. 

Nice hostel

My friend and I visited Yogyakarta for the first time and we were very lucky to stay in the good karma hostel! It is a wonderful and cozy place with good vibes and really friendly staff. They helped us out with all our questions about Indonesia, Yogyakarta and how we can continue our journey (we really asked a lot because our trip was not planned very well). I really recommend this hostel and have nothing negative to report.

Good for Zen time-it just feels like Ubud. The hotel design is unique and they have a lot of green plants. Every day, they have different breakfast, so I am enthusiastic to come to the meal area. What I love is that they plant mint on a small pot near the coffee and tea, so anytime the guests wanted mint tea, they can just pick the mint leaf from the pot. ❤️
Price is reasonable for that level of comfort😊. Recommended👍🏿

Feels like Ubud

We enjoyed 2 nights here before foolishly moving on to a different hostel (we regretted that almsot instantly!). Granted this hostel is a little out of the way with regards to the Kraton, Malioboro Street etc, it is really close to some great bars and restaurants, and you can always take a Grab to the sights for very cheap! The staff were incredibly friendly, the dorm room we had was clean and had curtains around the beds, and large enough lockers to fit all of your stuff in. Bathrooms were modern and clean, and the hostel sold beer (a rarity in Yogyakarta!). All in all I wish we'd stayed there longer, and would highly recommend to anyone wanting an affordable, relaxing stay in the city! 

Really lovely hostel in Jogja

The staff here are fantastic. The place is basic but it's more than fine for a short stay. It's a really good place to meet other people especially if you're a younger person. I stayed in one of the private rooms and thought it was quite cozy. The outside shower was really refreshing as well.
