This place is a legend . beautyfull view and extraordinary scienery.
Its been empty for more then 5 years at least. Hope some day it will be re open with a new spirit. Hava lots of memorry and nice people living the area

The first time I visited, it was with my parents, a short holiday for 3 days and 2 nights. We stayed at the suites of the resort. The stay here was, in one word, amazing. 

Going through the entrance door to the main hall, made of Javanese style, meticulously carved wood, you enter a large, wooden 'main area' with view of the sea. This main hall is, however, overshadowed by the beauty of the spatious suite rooms, with a truly stunning view over the Jawa sea.

The staff is very friendly, and I especially want to mention the manager, Agung. Whatever you want to be arranged on the island or in the resort, he makes it possible. For us, he arranged the ferry (even though our request was EXTREMELY lastminute), beautiful snorkeling trips, lunch packs etc. He is very energetic and positive, and on top of that an excellent manager.
You could sense that the rest of the staff also did their very best to make our stay as comfortable as possible, even though they were a bit less accustomed to - and made disarmingly shy by - the weird quirks of us Western tourists. Every morning we arrived in the main lounge to a delicious breakfast of pancakes, banana sandwiches, eggs and fresh juice. And in the evenings that day's freshly caught fish was served, together with delicious sauces, vegetables, tempeh, and other very yummie food (as a side note, me being a vegetarian was no problem at all).

My stay here was so amazing, that I booked another holiday (of 4 days) later that year with my boyfriend. Due to unforeseen circumstances the holiday had to be postponed a couple of days. The manager was again very helpful, rebooking the days we could stay without additional charge. He even arranged the new ferry tickets for us (and if you have ever travelled in Indonesia without properly speaking the language, you know what a blessing this is!!). Again, we were in a beautiful suite room with view over the sea and its stunning sunrises, enjoying delicious breakfast and dinner and going snorkeling, seeing iguanas on our scooter rides etc. Seemingly without effort, Agung had arranged this all for us.

I think the most important thing in this resort is to ASK for what you want. Being on a small group of islands far away from the big cities of Jawa, they really have to know your wishes in advance. If you do this, and ask Agung or another member of the staff if you need something, you will have an amazing and unforgettable time.

If I ever get the chance to visit Karimun again, I will DEFINITELY stay at Nirwana Laut Resort.

As the weather was so nice we decided to detour from Bali back to Karimunjawa. Now there is plane service from Semarang it was much eaasier.
Unfortunatly the main lodge was closed for upgrades so we stayed in the "joglo" rooms. This was great, they were nice and cold, bathroom clean and worked fine. Just a short walk to the beautiful private beach.
Outside area was nice and clean the lady there looked after us well cooking fries and making sure there was always cold local beer and ice for us.
The day trips are great fun but we spent most of the time relaxing on the beach with noone to disturb us.
I wish so much I could live at Nirwana Laut, its tryly paradise.

This place has a private beach with beautiful view. I stay here with my friends and i was so lucky we can attended a beach party at the night. the place is so quite if there is no event there. A perfect place to escape from the crowds
