Kudos to all the management of Highwinds.Mesmering location with ample of good setup in and out.Especially the owner a very helpful and a friendly man.Little far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.A must stay if you happen to visit Shillong.❤️

We have arranged a conference program here for the govt. officials for three days. the Property is a homestay category is decent for our workshop program. The property has total 12-15 room of deluxe, semi deluxe, executive and suite category. In house restaurant is also there and in the top floor is the conference hall of 25 X 18 feet of floor area. The conference is equipped with podium, projector and sound system. A 30 pax can seat there at a time in a theatre seating arrangement. Mr. Dinesh Thokchom the property manager is very help full and cooperative. Other staffs are also very supportive.

Cordial and very much helpful Staff Ms Preeti, Mr Pallabh,Tere and everyone.
1) Hot water was arranged additionally to save morning time to get ready.
2) Food quality is very good and will help you to stay healthy during tour as outside food always create lot of problems.
3) Usually, took dinner at hotel for 4 days.
When we got late, food was kept in our room well covered and hygiene.
Overall, it's  beautiful hotel, rooms are nice and hotel Staff helps like family, taking care of all requirements. Strongly recommend this hotel to all , particularly for family or groups.

Cottage type outlook with lovely garden. Mostly hanging garden look . Lovely owners. We had variety of options for breakfast which was included in our 3 day stay. Clean bed and bathroom. Once back after roaming at night we were served light hot dinner

Good hospitality. Friendly staff. Prompt service. Hot water available. Clean rooms. Concierge desk. Rates are good. It was a good experience overall. 

Many POIs in walking distance. No complaints. I'll recommend. 

One or office colleague and me visited Shillong for a office tour and stayed at Hotel Highwinds. It was a great stay with helpful staff as we were on a business tour. Hope to comeback with the family for a memorable tour.

Good option for stay with family. Clean, set inside away from the main road though the gate is on the main road. Nice lawns and flowers - pleasing to the eye. Good service, responsive staff.

Avoid reaching or leaving the place around 2-3 pm and morning 8 am - it is school time for the school right across. The road is narrow and gets jammed with vehicles during pick-up/drops.

For a family of 4, the duplex rooms are a great option and very comfortable. The non-duplex rooms are small and bit cramped for 2 adults + 2 kids.

In the last week of March-2019 we stayed their with family and some friend. Very Nice place , Well decorated , clean and east to access. Its Little bit away from congested place of Shillong "Police Bazar". Staffs are very helpful and Cuisine is excellent and testy. Those who visit Shillong with family and friend may stay here . Hope you will like the place   .

Home away from Home

I have stayed in Highwinds before.My experience was not pleasant this time.The service is not up to the mark.I opted for complimentary breakfast and we were served food in steel katoris which are cracked.The caretaker is biased and probably serves well to people who tips him.This probably my last visit to Highwinds.

Not a pleasant experience.

The property was quite different from what was shown in th epcitures.In the pictures it seemed beautiful but actually there were lots of problems in the rooms.Location was also very secluded and boring.There was problem of drainage in the washroom.
