You would be very smart to completely avoid this place, I won't call it a hotel because it is a doss house. I have stayed in many budget hotels over the last few years but this place plumbs depths I did not believe possible. It is filthy dirty, nothing works, noise all night from people moving in/out of this place. It has no redeaming features at all. Whatever features the place advertises do not exist. The staff are rude, unhelpful and intimidating. Avoid at all costs.

Overnight stay near Delhi Airport

Four of us booked this hotel through Booking.com. When we booked it this hotel was known as the Ascent Hotel but had changed it’s name before we got there. Our stay was for 2 nights (15 & 16/1/20) in a “Super Deluxe” room. The pictures in the Booking.com site do not represent this hotel at all. In fact they could not be further from the truth. We arrived at the “hotel” and were shown our rooms. The rooms were filthy, the bedding was filthy, it smelled of damp. The bathroom windows did not close let alone lock. We were shown further rooms which were slightly better at first glance. The sheets on the bed had human crease marks in them - they hadn’t been changed. I demanded they be changed in front of me. As we did not know the area at all and it was getting late we had no choice but to stay. On closer inspection the one shower had blood up the walls, all the electric wires/switches were hanging out of the walls in both rooms The water boiler in one bathroom had parts hanging off it and wires sticking out. The rooms smelt damp and musty.  Because we changed rooms we were asked to pay more money - we refused. 

On the second morning there wasn’t a drop of water. We couldn’t have a shower or a wash as there was literally no water. There wasn’t a kettle in the rooms so we couldn’t have a hot drink at any time. 

We had booked for breakfast but declined. 

Whilst at the hotel we found that it was being used as a “knocking shop”. Young people were coming in and going to reception handing over money and asking for a room for 40 minutes!!!  

Our booking also included a transfer to the airport but the staff argued this was not the case and we would either have to pay them or get our own taxi. We stood our ground and eventually they organised a taxi for which we refused to pay. I felt sorry for the taxi driver as he had to go back, after dropping us off at the airport, and fight to get his money. 

I fail to understand how a company such as Booking.com does not check out the hotels it is advertising. As far as I am aware we were sold a hotel booking under false representation. 

My advice to anyone considering booking this “hotel” - DON’T. There is not one positive comment I can make about this “hotel”. In fact I would go so far as to say I have seen much better “slum housing” than this so called “hotel”. 

I have attached a few photos but these really do not show the real state of this “hotel”.

Absolute Disgrace of a hotel

This property is also know as Stay Smart when booked thru Booking dot Com.  I chose the Stay Smart for its proximity to DEL for an overnight and flight the next afternoon. 10-15 mins from/to all terminals. The SS was friendly clean and everything worked including WF. Room was quiet. Just don’t look too close because it is an old worn building. The complimentary breakfast was enough to get you started. There is a menu if you want more. This is a typical wet floor bathroom. Getting there was the challenge. The SS is less than a half block from a major road. Twice staying in this area the prepaid Airport taxis don’t like the small winding streets, complained to me and actually asked me for directions. I used Uber to get back to the AP and they are without a doubt the the way to go. Across the street underneath the Shalimar is the Pakwan restaurant that serves great Indian food. For a short stay to clean up , get your bearings, a few good places to eat nearby then the SS is a good choice.

Convenient to DEL for an overnight, clean up, get your bearings, get a meal and go.

One of the worst hotel in the capital city.. booked the hotel through Oyo and after reaching the hotel, they asked extra money.. rude staff... smelly and old toilets.. not good for families.. even no clean towels in the bathroom.. the stay was very terrible.. never book this hotel..

Worst Hotel

Booked one night, because I needed a hotel close to the airport. Arriving at the reception I got the message, that the hotel was full with no rooms left, and I was therefore moved to a hotel nearby. Reading the reviews it seems like a scam the pull on many visitors. The alternative hotel was a really dirty and poorly maintained place. The sheets on the bed hadn’t been changed for a while and was clearly dirty with brown stains. Checked out after an hour. 

Don’t go there

Just few words: do not book this hotel. The property stinks everywhere, rooms are old, dirty and horribile. I changed 3 rooms to find one in where I could have been slept after a deep cleaning made by myself. All bathrooms were flooded of water coming from the bowl. A really nightmare. We demanded to change all linen. We were too tired to change hotel. Just let me add that the location is the worst I have seen in India, a dirty pigsty. Stay away from this hotel.

Bad, dirty and stinky 

I had made a reservation via booking.com. When I arrived there, they asked me to show my printed reservation confirmation, and then said my room was located in a different building which belongs to the same "group of hotels". They said this does not change anything to my reservation nor to the price. But the room in this other building (which turned out to be "Hotel Aero Look", was half smaller, very dirty and ugly, without any window. Moreover, one hour later, I received an email saying that my reservation had been cancelled supposedly by me. But I did not cancel my reservation! I was already sitting in my room. They cancelled it to prevent me from giving a negative feedback on booking.com. I have complained to booking.com. And the Hotel Smart Stay pretend they have never seen me. Be careful!!! They have fraudulent practices!!!

Fraudulent practice! Terrible hotel! Should be avoided.

Booked this  hotel via Booking.Com for one night so I was close to the airport for early departure.  Arrived 11.30PM and advised I had to go to another check in desk. Was walked to another hotel in another street (Hotel Aero Look).  Room here was cheap and dirty - stains on sheets, smelly.  Met others there too that had been diverted here and were charged the same rate as Smart Stay hotel.  Later got an update on Booking.Com that I had cancelled my booking at Smart Stay which I never did.This hotel is a scam.  You book in and confirm and then you get moved somewhere else and they cancel your booking.  No idea what their rooms are actually like.  Don't book here !!!

Don't book with this Hotel

Hotel cab never arrived.
Had to wait at front desk before room was available.
The room we got was Stinky, stains all over the floor, broken window, broken AC, stained dirty sheets and towels, dirty washroom , unfriendly staff
We could hear people walk and loud conversation all night.
We had to leave in the middle of the night.
Terrible experience
