Had a great stay at mk gardens the manager Rahul was so helpful, we were a group of friends and he told us the best places to go.  We went and ate at his mums restaurant everyday they serve tasty local dishes.

MK gardens is located a short two minute walk to the beach and all the restaurants. It is a fantastic location. The staff are absolutely lovely and go out of their way to make you feel at home and make sure you have everything you could need. They were attentive and helped with any questions we had. The Hostle has six large rooms, all with great atmosphere and the hostle itself is really well looked after. The Hostle offers yoga sessions via their in house yoga teacher - Amanda. I had some personal yoga sessions with Amanda and she was excellent, I can highly recommend her classes, having yoga within the Hostle really added to the excellence of the place. I stayed here with a friend for five nights and we loved it, by the end it felt like home and we were sad to leave.

It is beautyfull place near the varkala cliff,only 5min wolking. The room was big and clean and autentic indians  colorist room,nice garden,hot water,free wifi,staff was excelent,
The appartmant managment helped me with transfer from aipor...only 1000rup.Near are some restaurats,shoops, ...the beach was clean and safe.The room has a balcony.

A real gem. Excellent location, close to the cliff but nice and quiet. Characterful decor, comfy beds, mosquitoe nets and hot water. The staff were amazingly helpful and entertaining and had great local knowledge. A little slice of Varkala. I'll be back.

Felt like home, absolutely amazing

Nice house near the cliff

Lively, clean, colourful. Loved it!

We stayed for three nights at MK Gardens whilst visiting Varkala and would rate it as average. The staff (once identified) were not particularly welcoming and we were largely left to our own devices. I can imagine this would suit independent travellers it it was a big change from the more attentive homestays we had come from. Our room was on the ground floor and was big and clean, with an en-suite bathroom and private porch. Unfortunately it was next to a building site so we were awoken every day at 7am by an angle grinder. The en-suite bathroom also had a window which did not give any privacy and which made it quite uncomfortable when showering. MK Gardens is in a great location for the beach and other amenities. It also hosts twice daily yoga sessions and has a roof terrace (which we did not visit, our room being on the ground floor). All things considered I think better value rooms were available elsewhere.
