1 reviewWe stayed two nights at the unfortunately-named Harshit Guest House. Harshit is the family's last name, btw. At about $16 US a night it was the cheapest room with AC we found in the area. Our room was quite spacious and a large, really comfortable bed and a flat screen tv with Western cable on the wall. The bathroom was outstandingly clean and there was no trace of mold or wear on anything. Wifi wasn't available. The family was nice but their English limited, so most of our interactions with them were smiles and the few Hindi phrases we know. The Harshit sits right behind the somewhat sparse TDI Mall, which has a movie theater and a beef-free McDonald's in it when you need to beat the heat somewhere with some AC. There's an interesting local cemetery across the street that's nice to visit at dusk, but some of the stray dogs living there weren't the friendliest. The Taj Mahal is a quick 20 minute walk from here but the streets are as bad as all the others in India. Nice place to stay in the cheap.
