The cheapest decent looking place we found in Reykjavik. Rooms were clean and tidy, people in our room were friendly and the kitchen was well equipped for us to cook meals and save money. In the shopping centre attached there is a supermarket and a bakery. It is a bit of a walk in to town but after a few beers in town the walk back did not seem as long! There is a bus stop outside which takes you into town too. The owner was helpful and speaks good English and there is space to park a car on site. Really good value if you are looking to do Iceland on a budget.

I stayed for 4 nights and it was vwry good and nice. It was about 20 min by bus to the center. Close there are restaurants and supermarket. You can cook in the hostel. Many tourist vere there. Barhroom and kitchen were clean.

We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Really clean with excellent showers, staff exceptionally friendly and helpful, no issues with parking, a supermarket and bakery within shopping centre, decent and not too expensive (for Iceland) restaurant and takeaway at the bottom (Saffron), kitchen a decent size and covered everything we needed, no issues at check-in or check-out. 30 min Walk into Reykjavik, would highly recommend hiring a car as driving over there is super easy, you have more freedom in terms of sights and you will save money on excursions.

This hostel is not located near the city center. However, if you have a car. It is not a problem for you to travel around. Initially, it was hard for us to locate the hostel because it is hidden inside a building. Basically, it is located at a basement. 

1. Room - room was ok. nothing much to complain since we didn't pay much for it. 
2. Shared kitchen - they need to look into the cleanliness of the kitchen. Microwave is super dirty.
3. Shared toilet - toilet was clean and spacious. 
4. Service - the owner was super friendly and helpful. I really like him a lot. A very kind man.

Overall, we were happy with our stay. If you travel with budget, I would suggest you to stay here.

Location is approx a 40 minute walk into the main city, however there is a bus stop about 10 seconds away which takes you into the city - I always walked!  Is a 24 hour shop next door, which is ideal!  Lots of the tour companies only do pick up's from certain hotels - Hotel Artic Comfort is one which was only a 5 minute walk away so used there as a pick up/drop off point for the excursions!

Facility wise, place has a kitchen which is useful if looking to keep costs down as eating out costs a bomb! Bathrooms and bedrooms were clean.

One addition I would like to see is lockers in the room to store valuable items in.  Be nice to be able to trust everyone but you never know so would like to see a facility to lock away valuable items.

Owner was very friendly and his number is up at reception.  There is not staff there 24/7 so if you arrive your key will either be in an envelope with your name on or you will need to give the owner a call.

Would stay again, great value just needs somewhere for guests to be able to lock items away!
