great outdoor pool,family run hotel,serving only breakfast,friendly staff,nice bar with small serving snacks. only that I don't like is the small bathroom.

hotel has own a car parking and it's behind the hotel by the olive trees. :)

Now first you have to remember, that this is Greece - you only get luxury and the feel of modern day in big resorts. Hotels in small villages are cute and a bit out-dated, but that what get’s me in the Greek-mode! 

We switched to Venus after being very disappointed with Lambros. We were heartily welcomed eventhough we arrived late in the evening and without a reservation. The price was reasonable and we felt right at home from the very beginning. 

Don’t be fooled by the location - Venus is right outside the Kokkari village center and only a few minutes walk to the stores and restaurants - as good location as any and a very calm area. 

The hotel is rather big for a small town hotel and has the largest pool in the area. The breakfast area is lovely and breakfast has all you need - not a huge variety, but a good buffet to start your day. 

The rooms are roomy and with nice balconies. Most importantly, the room was tidy and lovely, felt like home. We had a view to the mountains. 

The little bar serves your drink needs for the pool-time and you can also play pool (billiard) at the hotel. 

Should we ever return to Samos, there’s absolutely no reason why we wouldn’t return to Venus!

Amazing 

First Time in Kokkari and the Venus hotel. Traditionally Greek hotel which is basic and extremely clean, always seemed to be a cleaner around. Proprietors are friendly, always around and nothing was too much trouble. I spoke to people that return to this hotel year after year and I can understand why. Pool is superb and again extremely clean so if your looking for a peaceful relaxing hotel, this place is ideal. We will certainly be back. 

Relaxing place

Me and my partner stayed in the Hotel Venus for a week. It is a lovely hotel and was extremely clean. The pool was an impressive size and was cleaned daily. The hotel had lots of little quirks such as the cabinets of curiosity that contained all sorts of artefacts which were very interesting! Maria, the hotel owner, was lovely and friendly and couldn't have been more helpful! All of the staff in the hotel were lovely too and would always greet us with a smile. 

The breakfast was continental with breads, meat and cheese but there was also some cereal, fruit and yogurt on offer. Some mornings there were fried eggs, and some mornings there were pancakes.

The pool bar offered some yummy snack and drinks options which were a reasonable price. 

The only thing that could make the hotel better would be to have a kettle in the room so we could make a cup of tea!

Lovely Hotel

My husband and I have just returned from a excellent holiday in the Venus Hotel Kokkari, Samos. The Hotel is well situated on a main road into the Village. We spent much of our time in the lovely large pool where we had a choice of sunbeds and umbrellas. The Hotel was spotless with bed linen and towels changed six days a week. The staff were excellent as were the Management team of Maria and Costas who were very welcoming and friendly. The only downside was the rather small shower area but this in our opinion was a minor detail.
