Villa Angela Corfu

My husband and I stayed here for two weeks, and if we return to Corfu in the future we will book this complex again. We were made feel very welcome when we arrived by Angela and Christos’ daughter, who explained that it is a family run business and if we need anything, they are available to us. Next day, Angela personally came around to our apartment to check if we needed anything and to welcome us, and Christos was available in the office each evening. If we needed anything, we just had to ask. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well maintained by a lovely lady who serviced the apartment at least every second day, including fresh linen and towels. The beds were really comfortable, and there was always hot water for showers. The air con was perfect, and our room also had a large ceiling fan to keep us comfortable. Our apartment was on the first floor and we had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. The pool itself is a good size, and there is also a kiddies pool and a Jacuzzi which can be operated by coin machine @ €2 for 15 minutes. Around the pool area was fabulous for sunbathing, with lovely foliage and flowers. Excellent Wi-Fi signal in all areas. The kitchenette had a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a kettle, a sandwich maker, and a one ring hob, so it was perfect for making breakfast and light meals. In fact, one of the best memories from our holiday is having breakfast on the balcony, soaking in the warmth and watching the world go by. On days we didn’t feel like making breakfast, we had two options – 1, turn left out from Angela’s and a very short walk takes you to Nadali, a busy little cafe obviously very popular with the locals. Coffee, cake, salad rolls, protein bowls, and it’s open every day 6-9 + Sunday up to 2 pm. Option 2 was to turn right from the apartments and walk in the other direction to Café Select. You could miss this place easily as there is just a little café sign outside. Coffee, croissants, sandwiches, omelettes, salads, burgers, desserts are available either indoors or outside in the leafy shaded garden. A really lovely friendly man runs this café. Lidl is less than 10 mins walk. Angela’s is a perfect location for buses to Corfu town. The bus stop for No 4 or No 7 is outside Nadali cafe. There’s a QR code at every blue city bus stop, and when you scan it, you get real time information on the buses, the No 7 runs every 20 mins, and is about 10 mins to San Rocco Sq. Returning from town, the bus stop you need is Sunset Hotel. To get the Green Bus to the north of the island or Paleokastritsa, the stop is opposite side of the road at Kykera Golf Hotel stop. We loved our stay at Villa Angela, and look forward to visiting again.
