Excellent apartment with all the facilities you would need, in a great location 5 minutes walking distance from the town.  There is a small pool which is nice for a refreshing dip.  

Lovely owners and staff who want to help you in anyway they can.  Excellent value for money.  Definitely recommend..

Lovely traditional Greek accommodation. 
Very clean. Good shower (we had a shower cubicle) and the most wonderful balcony looking out to sea. Studios are in the midst of the old area of Paleochora very near seafront and surrounded by local residences. Didn't use pool as we went in the sea but it was good to have the option. Go to the Waterside Cafe for a lovely leisurely breakfast (or lunch) which belongs to the family who own the studios.
A short walk into the centre which teems with restaurants. 
We were absolutely delighted with our studio and look forward to returning.

I had the most delightful four nights at Yorgios studios which were modern, impeccably clean and very well fitted out, with lots of amenities and tools if you wished to self cater. There is a nice pool and the most wonderful cafe (the Water's Edge, which is a must try) for breakfast and everything else. 

Flora and Haris are super friendly, congenial  and helpful hosts who helped out with advice and were very friendly to a lone traveller. 

I found Palaiochora a blissful and sleepy little town, almost village like, so don't be put off by the apparent size. What I loved most was the end of the world feeling, you really feel like you are at the end of Europe. While I was there there was the inaugural (I think) small independent film festival, showing films for free in the main street with entertainment.  Do yourself a favour, stay here, but don't tell anyone about it

As it was busy when I was there, Flora helped me find nice accommodation nearby when she was fully booked.

Wonderful hosts and super accommodation at Yiorgos Studios, in gorgeous Palaiochora.

We went to Paleochora to meet friends and spend Boxing Day together. We stayed at Yiorgos Studios as we have stayed there before and always enjoyed them. They are clean tidy well equipped and modern. Suitable for staying in any time of the year. Highly recommend.

Boxing Day Fun

We have just returned from Paleochora where we went with friends to visit the festival. We stayed at Yiorgos Apartments overlooking the Libyan Sea which are located in the quieter part of town - being festival weekend a very wise decision. We received a very warm welcome from Flora and her husband who told us to ask for anything we needed. The rooms are modern, very clean, and well equipped even down to a parasol for the large balcony. The bed was very comfy with nice bedding, very clean towels, nice crockery, fridge, two ring hotplate, table and chairs both in the kitchenette and the balcony. What a fabulous start to each morning sat having breakfast on the balcony enjoying the sun in early March overlooking the Libyan Sea. We dined at their cafe yesterday lunchtime. The food was excellent.our party had a mixture of delicious salads, vegetable burgers, omelette, lamb kebabs. Before our lunch arrived we were served complimentary olives, bread and after our lunch complimentary dessert raki and a hot lemon raki. All this with drinks and coffees for around €20 per couple. Would I eat there again - must definitely in fact I wish we had eaten there last night instead of in the town. I always gauge a place by would I stay there again and my conclusion is can't wait to go again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. If accommodation is not available in Yiorgos Apartments the couple who run these own.The Haris Apartments located just in front of Georgia and where the cafe is. Three of our party stayed in there and a repeat customers - speaks for itself

Festival weekend

Just home from our second holiday at Yiorgos Studios. Like the first trip, we had a fantastic time. Our room was lovely - the huge balcony had an amazing sea view. It was so peaceful - we sat  watched the stars feeling like we were the last people on the edge of the world. Well, the edge of Europe...

The room was kept clean and the small kitchen area was well stocked - although we ended up eating down at the Water’s Edge Cafe more often than not. It was great to have a fridge with an ice box in the room for the baby’s things. The travel cot was set up for our arrival and it looked brand new - absolutely immaculate. 

On the top floor, we had access to a beautiful hidden sun trap - so I could still sunbathe when the baby was napping. Thank goodness for the lift - we didn’t have to lug the pram up two flights of stairs or carry the baby down/up. And the pool was great - lovely to have the option of swimming down there in hot/windy days when I couldn’t make it down to the small beach at Methexis. 

We made good use of the laundry too - the machines were really easy to use and dealt with the 15 month old’s love of watermelon brilliantly. 

Flora was amazing too - when we had to adjust our dates, she was able to accommodate us and she even dug out some toys for the baby! 

A warm welcome

At first sight this apartment block appears to fulfil expectations, however this does not stand up to close scrutiny. The apartments appear spacious but the kitchenette area is very small and not particularly practical for self catering. Kitchen equipment is very basic, a sharp knife for cutting fruit & veg would have been good as would a coffee pot. The apartments are serviced daily although the bathroom cleaning left a lot to be desired, the fixtures & fittings installed would be a challenge for even the most experienced cleaner which does not help to maintain cleanliness levels.
We discovered the bed sheets, on our arrival, were ragged all along one edge and no, we do not use Reimann P20.
The lower front apartment looks directly onto the small pool but the balustraded balcony offers little or no privacy. The block itself is incredibly noisy with doors slamming late at night and local children in the street outside keeping up a stream of shouting & screaming until well after midnight.
2 or 3 nights at this accommodation would be enough, but certainly no more for me.
