We spent 8 days at the hotel and were sad to leave. Right from the welcome, this hotel provides a warm, friendly and relaxed experience. Kostas and his family were very attentive and allowed us to relax into our holiday with ease. Nothing is too much trouble and the surroundings offer a beautiful sense of tranquility. Kostas is also a gifted chef who cooks beautiful food, trust him to take to on a journey with local cuisine, which was extremely tasty.
The beach is sandy and pebbles into the sea. As this is at waist height for 80 metres approx, it is perfect for kids to enjoy as a pool, the water is stunning. We would highly recommend you arrive, relax, go with the flow and enjoy this unique experience. Beautiful area and wonderful family. 

Wonderful experience 

We spent 10 nights at Kassimiotis Hotel. The owner - Kostas - is EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND POLITE. He was ready to fulfill all our wishes. Before booking an apartment (directly with the owner) we had mentioned we would need a small cooker to prepare our meals there - so Kostas just bought a new cooker and put into the apartment! A very very kind person!
The hotel is right on the beach - mostly sandy with few nice stones. The sea bottom is sandy too and suitable for children. The beach isn't very big, but it's really cosy, peaceful and well organised, with chairs and umbrellas, and a cold water dispenser as well.
Kostas runs a restaurant with tasty meals (lunch & dinner, but no breakfast). There is also a bar with various beverages and ice cream.
The garden around the hotel looks very nice and it's a real pleasure to have a meal in the open-air restaurant surrounded by greenery, so close to the sea. 
The free wi-fi in the building is ok, no problems with it.
We had an apartment (2 separate airconditioned rooms with a bathroom and kitchenette) on the 1st floor and the sea view from the balcony was really great. We could hear the sound of sea waves at night - wonderful! The rooms are simple, but nicely decorated. Although the bathroom or kitchenette might need some slight upgrades, I will recommend the place for sure!
The location is great for visiting various sights in Messinia. We went to Koroni Castle, Methoni Castle , Finikounda (beaches), Pylos with Niokastro, Voidokilia beach with Paleokastro, Polylimio waterfalls, the Palace of Nestor and Museum of Chora, Ancient Mesini, Kalamata, and also Kardamyli with Viros gorge. A great time altogether. :-)

A very friendly place right on the beach.

I spent great time in that family business hotel.christos and Paul are very friendly so their father.the food was awesome, we ate traditional Greek foods and joined the Mediterranean nutrition. Also, we rent a car from their business, which was a cheap and good choice.thanks a lot kalamata !

Great time in kalamata,ayios andreas

We recently spent two weeks there with our 2.5 year old. Had a great time - the owners are friendly and helpful, and generously provided us with lots of fruit from the garden and cakes. They were also very tolerant of our two year olds' tantrums... very important! The fridge broke at one point (these things happen) but the owner very quickly sorted it out. They even allowed us to change rooms to something that was better for us.

The rooms are basic, but visiting in June we spent most of the day outside except for a siesta. The rooms were cleaned twice a week.

The private beach is really close and clean, and the sea is shallow enough for small children to play without worrying. There is however, a bit of a steep stone slope from the umbrellas and chairs to the water.

The food was great - the owner cooks lots of fresh local food at a good price (we reckoned about 10€ cheaper than places in the bigger seaside resorts). You just need to go with the flow a bit and be willing to eat what is available rather than expecting to order off the menu. It's also worth double checking that food will be available for lunchtime, just in case. 

Agios Andreas isn't a particularly special village, but Koroni, Finikounda, Methoni and Pylos are within 1hr drive (we saved £££ on staying at Kassimiotis compared to there...) Nearby Peroulia beach is worth a visit.

Two great weeks staying here with a 2.5 year old

i had wonderfull days there - amazing authentic place direct by the sea, beautiful garden full of flowers, own beach and nice small beaches around, nice appartments, lovely family with great hospitality, very nice food and much much more. there is also a lot to explore around; the sea and the nature around is wonderful and quiet! i can definitively high recommend this hotel and i'll come back soon! you will not be disappointed - it's just amazing!!

amazingly beautiful hotel an surrounding

We only had one night but were able to see what an excellent place this is for families. The small hotel/ appartements is situated right on the beach, so wonderful for familes, the sea being on the door step so to speak. The food is good and the staff speak good english as well as German and Italian. An ideal base to explore the area, and car hire is right on the spot. What could be better.

one night

Only stayed for 1 night on way to Kalamata airport but had eaten there a few times previously. Very surprised to find all rooms were actually apartments with 2 double bedrooms, kitchenette, shower, etc. which for 40 euros per room was excellent value  (even better if there are 4 people - we were only 2). Rooms were slightly old fashioned but clean and comfortable.
Dinner was excellent both in quality and price.

The only drawback for us was that breakfast is not provided unless previously arranged as most guests tend to prepare their own using their kitchenettes
A very welcoming family run hotel. Possibly a bit old fashioned but worth a visit, and situated right on the beach.
We will certainly use it again
