The hotel is at a very nice location, next to the beach. It is very clean and the owner, Antonis, very polite and willing to help us with whatever we wanted. It is near to nice coffee shops, walking distance. Every day we were finding the room clean and tidy after our morning walk. I for sure recommend it and will visit it again. 

Perfect little hotel 

At two steps from the beach, this great hotel offers a great resting place for visitors of the Chania area. Situated among resorts, restaurants and parks, it is an ideal location for couples, families and solo travelers.
The staff couldn't be nicer and was very communicative and caring.

We liked everything but most of all the great Greek hospitality of the managers!The appartment was close enough to the sea (50 mrs)and rightnext to restaurants, marketsand cafes!,Very spacious and had everything we needed. Faultless clean!Trust manager's suggestions!!!

Great hospitality!

This is a "no frills' hotels but who needs the frills if everything is close at hand and you have a helpful and charming Antonis at the reception?

Excellent location, comfortable beds , kitchenette, terrace and the sea virtually on the doorstep, together with shops, bars and restaurants. Lovely beach and beach walks. Chania Old Town is a bus ride away. What not to like???  :)

Quiet, friendly, unpretentious and comfortable - with a sea view

While choosing your holiday destination, you need to define what you need and what you expect. For us it is always: location and view from the room window. IOLKOS has exactely, what we were looking for: 2 (namely; two) minutes from the sandy beach and sea right outside the window. Gentle breeze round the clock bringing the smell of flowers and sea. At night you can hear waves rocking to sleep. (You do not like it? Shut the windows and turn the air con on). And the neighborhood -quiet side street with no through traffic.
No, IOLKOS has not got a swimming pool and no bar on premisses. If you need these, go elswhere. But every appt is equipped with kitchen space, so you can prepare your own meal and have it on the balcony or terrace of your own (yes, there is one for every room).
Everyone likes to stroll the streets of Chania. 5 minutes walk will bring you to the bus stop, from which a '21' line city bus will whisk you in ~25 minutes to the center of town (going every 20 minutes).
All the bars, restaurants and mini market within walking distance.
Antonis -the host- is there almost all the time and always ready for a friendly chat and helpful, with a smile at ready.
I have a problem, with writing it all. I am afraid, that next time we will need to book 2 years in advance ;-)

THAT AND NO OTHER!

A lovely hotel! The room I was in was large, clean and had a much appreciated balcony which was in the sunshine for most of the day. It is in a great location, close to a bus stop so you can get to Chania easily, literally two minutes from the nearest beach (and more beaches within a 10 minute walk), close to several tavernas and several shops.

Lovely hotel

Stayed here fo a couple of nights whilst visiting Crete. A very warm and friendly welcome awaits you on your arrival. Rooms are spacious and clean. Very close to the beach and a couple of local tavernas. If you just want to go for a drink on an evening would recommend sirocco’s just round the corner on the beach. I can’t think of any reason why you wouldn’t want to stay here.

This is why we come to crete

Visited Crete in early June. Based on location we chose Iolkos hotel for it's near to everything yet peaceful. The 1 bedroom apartment was clean and spacious, equipped with 2 air pumps, good sized fridge and everything necessary for making breakfast or a simple meal.
The balcony was big and private with a garden and sea view.
The owners were available when needed nice and friendly.
Near to several beaches, restaurants and shops.
All in all a good base for exploring the area. Can and will recommend to other travellers!
 

Lovely small hotel

Neat and tidy. Very friendly personel. Normal price ,really close to two great beaches. The hotel was quiet and clean . It may not be a state of the art but it is definitely a great choice nevertheless

Stayed there for 2 nights

Great little hotel just 5k (9 Euro in a Taxi) away from Chania Town. Clen comforatble rooms, with basic self-catering available (though lots of eating places close by). Lovely little beach just aroud the corner too.
