The guesthousr is situated at the heart of the city, close to both sides of the lake. Our room had nice view of the north side. Bed was a bit stiff but it was all around okay, the bathroom was stylish, with a big shower.
Mr. George is very polite and helpfull. In the room you find slippers, chocolates, wine etc. for free!!! Really the best value for money choice..

Superb!!

The guesthouse has everything you can expect: perfect location (close to the old town, the new center and the lake), away from the hustle and bustle of cars or nightliving. Delicious breakfasts, comfortable, clean and well-equipped rooms. Wi-Fi works well, no air conditioning was needed during my stay, so I do not give a grade for it. You can sit out on the cozy patio. The host and service very nice, symphatic and helpful in every matter. I recommend to everyone for traveling alone or in pairs.

Excellent guest house, perfect for trip to Kastoria

The only problem I had with Allahou is that we only stayed one night. The guest house is immaculate and the hostess, Xenia, is exceptional. She made us feel so at home and ensured we were fully comfortable. 

She has great knowledge of the area and pointed out excellent dinner options. 

I would have no problem recommending Allahou to anyone that is going to visit Kastoria. 

Absolutely lovely B&B/guest house in Kastoria’s atmospheric city center. Within walking distance to virtually everything - bus station, waterfronts, restaurants, cafes, museums, biking/walking trails, etc. There are just a handful of rooms in this charming, beautifully restored mansion. My room (Frog Room) was located on the second level. It was smartly designed with all modern conveniences and was quite spacious. High ceilings made the room feel even larger. I overlooked a tranquil garden. Breakfast was included with my nightly rate and was served in a beautiful glass enclosed room filled with tons of natural light. There were both hot and cold options to choose from (fresh fruit, eggs, breads, cheeses, meats, spinach and cheese pies, juices, coffee, teas, etc). One morning I was the only guest and had the pleasure of taking my breakfast inside the richly appointed living room of the main house. The owners, George and Xenia could not have been any more gracious. They treated me like a member of their family. Their hospitality, generosity and warmth will not soon be forgotten.

My Home in Kastoria 

A nice guest house with friendly and hospitable owners. The decor is a bit tired but the rooms are clean and tidy. Some have nice views of the lake. The breakfast was good and the hotel is located near the centre of town. Nice outdoor sitting area. 

We drove to the hotel. Our GPS had some trouble finding the place. Can’t blame the hotel for that though.

Nice guest house

Having read the other reviews we were impressed and decided to go there for our wedding anniversary. The supposed friendliness of the owners was a bit of a joke we never saw the same person twice during our three night stay. The room was nicely decorated but very small by Greek standards (my wife is Greek and we have stayed extensively all over Greece). The bed was very hard. The room was cleaned on the first day whilst we were at breakfast and before we’d had chance to shower. On the last day the room wasn’t cleaned at all despite us being out all day from 11.00 in the morning until 1.30 at night. Breakfast was poor with limited choice and no one was checking whether plates were empty or the coffee needed refilling. We managed only one small cup of coffee on the second morning. The last morning we took breakfast elsewhere.

Are the other reviews from real guests?

Cozy hotel in the city center. Spacious room, very nice breakfast. You can visit the city on foot. The only problem is the parking, so it is better to contact the hotel before arriving for information.
