Marinos, Daniella and the Horizon team are wonderful, great hospitality, excellent food, great sea view room, what more can I say.  We have been visiting regularly since the hotel opened and always had wonderful holidays, we thoroughly recommend The Horizon Hotel.

Excellent Hotel, in a great location

My first time visiting Corfu and I had heard great things about this place from my fiancé who visited a few years ago and I wasn’t disappointed. From the arranging of the taxi collection at the airport to the sad farewell morning everything was perfect. It’s a family run hotel and all the staff were very welcoming and the owners who were always around were so kind and helpful. We had a room on the 2nd floor with amazing views of the sea and those perfect sunsets. The room was spotless and the bed and pillows were so comfortable I wanted to take them home! Great air con and mosquito blinds in the rooms and the whole place had a very chilled out vibe to it. The Wi-Fi was good and we had good signal even down on the beach. The pool is gorgeous and has comfortable loungers or daybeds (although the daybeds are usually for the three ground floor rooms we were allowed to use one as the room was not in use). The hotel has a one family booking at a time rule and the pool is a “quiet area” and not used after 6.30pm which adds to the chilled out feel. I celebrated my birthday the day after we arrived and had our meal on the small roof terrace overlooking the sea. The meal was amazing and to my surprise my partner had organised a birthday cake for me which was amazing and most definitely the best cake ever (not dissimilar to a kind of cheesecake). Each meal we ate there was top quality and their local wines are not only delicious but reasonable too. The beach is a short step down from the hotel and you can get drinks etc brought to you on the sun beds owned by the hotel. Even in July it never felt crowded either. Breakfast was gorgeous and I miss having my bowl of Greek yoghurt with fresh fruits now I’m home. 
I fell in love with this place, I felt sad to leave and that is always a sign of a perfect holiday. If I’m honest I would struggle to think of any negatives about it. I could go on and on about this but I think I’d bore you but if you’re looking for a hotel and location where you can relax and feel spoilt this is the place. I think I left a little piece of my heart there for sure. 

PS My fiancé has just told me they said to him the birthday cake was on them which was a lovely, sweet gesture. I want to thank them all but my memory isn’t good for names so I’ll just thank each and every one who made our holiday so so special.

Beautiful hotel, location and people. I fell in love with it.

Well we eventually arrived in Arillas after two cancellations because of COVID-19 but it was well worth the long wait!!! From the moment we stepped out of the taxi at this top class hotel we were made to feel as if we were part of the family. We had a room on the second floor with a large balcony with an amazing view of the beach and the sea beyond and as its all facing west the most wonderful sunsets. The hotel has a small pool complete with sun loungers that is exclusive to the residents or you can use the beds on the beach a short step over the road where you also have food and drinks brought to you. I can definitely recommend the restaurant as all of the different dishes that we ordered were top class. When we last stayed here pre COVID-19 it was a buffet breakfast but now it’s an excellent choice of yoghurt and fruit along with cold meats and cheese plus homemade jams and fresh crusty bread also with an option for eggs cooked anyway you like them along with bacon and cooked fresh tomatoes plus lots of tea and coffee. We loved every minute of our 12 day stay so much we have already made a booking for May 2022. !!!!

Cancelled twice because of COVID

Last visit was 26 months ago, had plate of 'greek chips' which turned out to be frozen mcdonald type. Visited the other day and had proper greek chips. Geat to see them back! The hospitality was superb as ever. Lets hope its not anoth 26 months before we can return.

Very clean rooms and beautiful design makes you feel to stay longer.
The staff and owners are ever so helpful and are taking care for any requests and give you the best sightseeing suggestions from the island. 

Happy Holiday in Arillas 

For anyone looking for a relaxed, classy hotel, this fits the bill. We have been here several times and must have stayed in every room - all are perfectly appointed and really comfortable. For us the major bonus is the separate, spacious shower. Then there is the restaurant. Lunch and dinner never fails to impress, while the included breakfast includes many fresh homemade delights. Topping everything off are the management and staff who provide Corfiot hospitality at it's best.

Always a pleasure to revisit

Thank you again for a wonderful holiday. Everything about the Horizon is first class. This was our fifth stay & counting. The hospitality, location and staff are second to none. Until the next time, Iain & Anne.

Paradise found

If you like being looked after by a wonderful team of honest people who care about your holiday then this is the place for you!!! I'm sure that lots of us have been on holiday to places where you are only there for 7-10 days then off home. But these people make you feel at home with the best welcome and 24hr hospitality that takes some beating. The rooms are top class and spotless Alex Polizzi would find it hard to make a negative comment (apart from the loo paper in the bin but that's Greece if you don't like it then don't go!!!) The sunset is marvellous and the sandy beach is just a short step away from the front of the hotel. The breakfast is well presented with well stocked continental and a small selection of hot dishes that are replenished by the attentive staff. Now to end if you want a quality romantic dinner then book a table on the raised area and watch the sun sink into the sea. Will we be going back to this wonderful hotel ??? Oh yes !!! (Booked for September already) happy days !!!

Wedding anniversary holiday

There was a warm welcome waiting when we arrived at this smart sea side hotel. 

We were shown round our room which was pleasantly decorated and fully equipped with a safe, air con, coffee/tea making  facilities, fridge and washing line with plenty of pegs. 

Our room was serviced daily and included bath towels and towels for the beach. 

All the staff were helpful and friendly and it felt like we had been welcomed into the hotels 'family'. 

The breakfast buffet was ok but sometimes the hot section didn't keep the food particularly hot but otherwise a good selection to choose from. 

Will definitely be re booking this hotel again.



Relaxing holiday

The gentleman who owns and runs this fantastic coastal hotel and restaurant has a good team of friendly well trained staff within a lovely complex.the food,wine ,beers and soft drinks are good quality.The food is superb and the atmosphere is relaxed.Evening sunset has to be experienced from this fabulous restaurant to be believed,amazing.
