GZT Das Gästehaus

I stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip visiting the research laboratories on the hospital site. The room was clean, modern and all you could need for a short business trip. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful (even bringing a kettle for me unprompted). The accommodation itself is on the 8th floor of one of the hospital buildings. Be aware that reception closes at 9, so you have to use your keycard to enter the building from a side door after this time. Reception is also located on the 8th floor. There is a small cafe downstairs that serves hot and cold food which was very convenient. It is quite a long walk into town- and very punishing on the way back up (a 40 minute uphill climb), so would advise getting a taxi if you are planning on going into town. Overall, an excellent place to stay if you need to be close to the hospital buildings and don’t plan on going into town all that much.
