29 reviewsLast minute booking in the afternoon for somewhere near Speyer to start the museum tour in the morning. Took the TOMTOM a while to locate it even when we were 50m nearby. Our rooms were in the new part of the building and quite large. After an afternoon stroll in the woods nearby we ventured into the beer garden for dinner. They have specialty nights and tonight it was chicken. Good value and a nice change from schnitzel! Good beer and quite busy with locals. When we got back to room, and having admired the view of the church nearby, it was now annoying with the bells! Every fifteen minutes... However they did have the courtesy to switch them off after 10pm. But come 6am..The bells! Breakfast was held in a room in the old part of the building and was quite varied and sufficient for the morning plans. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were too, though the shower recess had seen better years. More corrosion that lack of cleaning. Most clientele appeared to be in the construction industry, so probably quieter on the weekend. Plenty of free parking. Free fast WiFi too.
