Hotel-Restaurant Dümptener Hof

I had to stay a few days in Mülheim an der Ruhr and such I searched a cheap and affordable hotel, as I expected to not be in my room a lot. As I arrived in the early noon, I had a small search for the entrance, which seemed to be the same as for the, at that time closed, restaurant. I was welcomed by a friendly lady, who gave me my keys and explained the way to walk to me. The night entrance saved me some walking. The room was modest, but clean. It had a bed, some wall outlets, a TV, free wi-fi, a clean bathroom and a window that you can open for some fresh air. My room was on the 3rd floor, but as this hotel does not have a lift, you have to walk the stairs. The parking lot on the side of the hotel is free to use for hotel guests. I did not use the breakfast. The first morning, I had a late night return and though I was still asleep. The second morning, I was the only one wanting to eat there, I was told at my check-in, thus this was not profitable for them. Instead, they advised me the bakery on the other side of the street. And that was a good advise. Don't be to late there, as they may have sold out, but you can eat there for a good price and get served good quality bread. If you are looking for a hotel just to sleep and shower, this is your place. If you are looking for a hotel with full service, look further.
