Very useful hotel for short stay.
Near to all amenities and public facilities.
Staff very polite and helpful.
Smart room design grouping all needful things into a tiny and comfortable space. 
Bathroom very clean and modern.

Superb stay

Arrived at 1 am - no problem with entry, put my name in the terminal, out came a card. Lift to 3rd floor, single room with balcony, well appointed and clean. Good shower and bathroom. Strong wifi. Only German on TV.... I think.
Short walk to Bismarckplatz and the river, hotel well placed. Reception manned from late morning to evening, snacks and drinks dispenser. Receptionist LISA extremely helpful. All in all, this is a no frills easy place to stay. And the price for August..... Good.

Good quiet hotel well priced near city centre

I stayed in Hotel Mille Stelle for the weekend recently, check-in was quick and very simple thanks to the automated check-in machine. The room was clean and had clearly been renovated recently. The bed was meant to be a double bed but it was unfortunately just two single mattresses pushed together. Aside from the one issue with the mattress, it was a pleasant stay.

Super convenient check-in

The lobby of this hotel is locked in the mornings and part of the afternoon, so there is no one there to talk to or take your luggage to hold. In fact, there is a self-check in box, sort of like an ATM by the door but you cannot use it until after noon. We arrived around 11 after a long night and day of travel. We tried to call the lobby, bang on the door, anything we could to get someone just so we could drop of our bags. We were resigned to sitting miserably on the front steps, me and my 70-year-old parents.

Finally one of the cleaners heard our banging and came to help us. We were at least able to leave our luggage, and they said our rooms would be ready ASAP. We were relieved. We went to a little restaurant on the corner, which was delicious, and then came back to do the electronic check-in. It's actually an easy process but it's such a pain and there really should be someone at least answering the phones.

The rooms were nice and clean. No complaints there. It was loud at night, often some drunk guy or another singing songs beneath our windows. But eh, that's not the hotels fault. 

So beside the terrible check-in procedures, we had a fine stay.

Check-in Problems, but a Fine Stay

Do not be put off by some of the old photos here because the place has been renovated quite tastefully. I never saw anyone at reception; instead there was an automatic check-in machine which was easy to use. I had a single room which was very small, but served it's purpose as a place to stay.

An affordable and comfortable place to stay

The hotel is perfectly located, just 1 km from Bismarkplatz (12 min walking), in a very quite neighborhood. Within 300meters you can find supermarkets, cafes, bars, etc. The check-in process was done in an automated machine, extemely easy (check-in can take place only after 12 pm!). The room was brand new, extremely clean and with a very comfortable bed. Only disadvantage is the non existence of a refregirator.
