House is very good. I stay there around 3 weeks. All the facilities are very good. It is very safe place to stay. AC works fine. care taker ladies are very co-operative and solve our all the problems. Kitchen facility is also very good. You can get all the necessary items near by. Money park is very close to this place.

We had a long stay in Gambia and could not have found a better location than this.  It was my second time and this time I preferred to stay in an apartment rather than a business hotel.  It turned out to be the right decision.  The suite is right off the Bertil-Harding highway and barely 5-min walk from Senegambia (the happening place).  The apartment is quite spacious with two bedrooms, a living room and a decent kitchen.  The apartment is well furnished.  But the amazing thing is their level of service and commitment.  This is usually the weakest point in the whole of Africa with their casual attitude.  But this apartment turned out to be a surprising exception.  Both the ladies at the front desk are very attentive to the smallest of your genuine needs.  If there is an issue with the apartment be it the light not working, A/c not working, cleanliness, breakfast etc.  They are right there with you.  By the time you are back in the evening the problem is fixed.  I have traveled extensively to Africa and this is something I have come across rarely and not even in 5-star hotels.  The Internet works very well as per Gambia standard.  They have the Generator for power backup and they turn it on as soon as their is a universal power outage (not just for your apartment).  Please bear in mind that Gambia has prepaid power which they call "cash power".  That means you have to recharge your power meter in advance (like you do with your cellphone) to have power in your apartment.  As soon as you are running out of balance the power to your apartment will be cut-off instantly be it in the middle of the night.  Cash power is not included in your rent so make sure that your power power meter is fully charged in order not to get an unpleasant surprise.  The front desk have recharge coupons with them so you just give them the money and someone will recharge your power meter in less than 5 minutes.
The location is great and quite safe.  You can just walk to Senegambia and explore many of the nice restaurants serving diverse cuisine.  The apartment gives breakfast every morning which is quite basic and the same everyday.  Please note, the breakfast is served at your apartment for 1 person only irrespective of no. of people staying in the apartment.  But you have a full fledged kitchen to make something for you.  There are many supermarkets nearby for you to buy daily stuff.
Overall, the apartment is maintained quite nicely and professionally.  There is no complaint whatsoever.  The only issue is that there is a big mosque right opposite to the apartment.  So get used to listening to their Azan few times a day starting from 5 AM.  Always keep the doors closed to save yourself from the mosquitoes.

AKKWA SUITES off Bert Harding Highway in The Gambia is the best excellent and comfortable suite's  if you are looking to travel to the Gambia. I was on holiday  from the 26 of July 2017 till 9 of August 2017 and I happen  to stay in this apartment but is value for money  clean and spacious the staff  are friendly and helpful shout out  to # Awa and Lucy  the reception  team good  customer service and to my cleaner  Isatou you have done a good job and to Sarjo the Security Lady.
The apartment  is suited near all  the shops ,supermarkets night restaurants   clubs that make it easier  to walk and shop and eat around 
You also have secured  parking  free, breakfast free and free Wi-Fi and you can even paid by using  a visa card if you don't want to use the local  currency 
I really  enjoyed  my 2 weeks stay and would  definitely  come  back to Akkwa suites Value for money clean, rooms spacious and great customer service

I stayed here for a week during a recent visit to West Africa. The apartments are not far from the tourist area of Senegambia, situated on a quiet street, but within a couple of minutes walking distance of the main road.
There apartments are in a modern building. It is private and secure. My room was spacious and well equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, tv, ironing board and iron etc. There were two double bedrooms, one with en suite plus a further bathroom, a lounge, dining area and kitchen which was separated from the living area by a glass screen.
The kitchen had a fridge freezer and a stove, but there was a lack of equipment for anyone who intends to do to their own cooking - no measuring jug or mixing bowl and certainly there wasn't a sharp knife.
The staff were pleasant and friendly. The rooms were cleaned every day, but towels were only renewed on request.

These apartments are well furnished and ideally located just a few minutes walk from Senegambia. The apartments are large and offer a good view of the day to day activities. The staff pronounce the place as "Aqua Suites"
