1 - The receptionist with the cool trainers was very nice, and very helpful.

Firstly - our rooms were wrong. We had asked for a double and twin, and got two doubles. We had to ask for the correct rooms, and after some discussion, we were given the right rooms.

Secondly - The rooms, apart from the beds, were dirty all over, some broken and worn furniture, stains, and general filth all over. The air-conditioning exit was utterly filthy and the filter had clearly never been changed. Reminded me of a cheap B&B in Glasgow, in 1990.. awful.

Thirdly - we paid extra for breakfast. We were told that breakfast was between 8 and 10am. We came down at 9:15 and there was nothing left. No cereal, no bread, just a couple of pain au chocolats and a croissant. When my wife politely asked if there was more, she was rudely told that it was Saturday, and their supplies arrived on Monday, so they'd ran out. Not great when we have two hungry 12 year olds.
Really, really disappointed. I didn't expect total luxury, just a decent place to stay overnight on a long journey. It cost me £130 altogether, absolutely terrible value for money.

The website pictures really make the place look way, way, way better than reality. Avoid.

Never, ever again

Cheap price, nice bathroom/shower, comfy beds, decent breakfast. So all in all very happy. Area around it seems bit run down but I thought this was perfect for a one night stop. Buffalo Grill next door was ok too and you get 15% off. 

Great value

It's a easily accessible hotel, on the main road and has parking. Restaurant nearby, 2 min walk. 
Small rooms, ok for an overnight stop over and we paid £33 for a night. Can't say anymore than that. 
These small hotels don't provide a kettle and coffee facilities and that's the only disappointment as sometimes you just want a drink and not a full breakfast.

Just what it says!!!!

I was at the balladins for a business trip. My room has been very small, the bathroom was very, very, very small. Bed was OK, but in bathroom there have been hairs from anybody nearly everywhere. Even at the towels. 
Food was incredible bad, i will not eat any meat there again. 
Breakfast was quite OK, a typical french one with croissant, baguette and coffee. 
Best thing at the Balladins has been the polite service staff. 

Never again 

The hotel is conveniently located and parking was straightforward. Compared to other Balladins we have stayed in, the room and bathroom were rather small. However, the bed was clean and comfortable. There was a mix up with the WiFi passwords.....the information known by the receptionist and that published in the room's information pack were both different to what the actual password was! Not the end of the world but a bit annoying. The breakfast was better than other Balladins with pancakes provided in addition to the usual meat, cheese, jams etc. From my place in the breakfast room I couldn't keep my eyes off the kitchen door which was filthy......I'm sure the kitchen was OK but it didn't give a good impression.

OK for an overnight

Possibly the smallest hotel room I've ever stopped in and the smallest ,grubbiest bathroom. The air con didn't work . It did have private parking however and wasn't expensive.Plus points....... It was only for one night and there was a brilliant buffalo grill next door .
