What a wonderful, compact hotel. Rooms not particularly big but absolutely spotless. Hosts were so welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was superb with the most amazing huge croissants. Selection of items available really good. Location was good. Walkable into centre of Nantes or bus stop 100 m away C2 bus. Would definitely stay again.

This is a lovely little hotel. It is fresh and clean and tastefully decorated. The shower was top class and there was a lovely view of the garden. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We had the breakfast and it was tasty, fresh and abundant. There was great attention to detail everywhere. I would definitely stay again!!

A lovely boutique hotel!

I've stayed at the Coeur De Loire several times now, and on each occasion have been impressed by the friendly, professional attitude of the owners. 
The hotel is always spotless and clean, the rooms, though small, are well appointed and comfortable, and the breakfast served at the hotel is perfect - fruit, cheese, ham, juices, a range of teas and coffees and of course fresh baguettes and croissants. If you're lucky the hotel cat might even pay you a visit if you have breakfast in the garden area!

Prices are very reasonable, so given the value for money that this hotel offers, it's wise to book ahead.

A small family run hotel that's perfect for exploring the area

This is a nice family run hotel in a quiet area just a few minutes from the station and downtown and the tram leaves from just outside the door. The rooms are well appointed and most important for me they are clean. My daughter's room had a view of the garden which she appreciated and of course a TV which she doesn't have at home so she made the most of it. The breakfast in the garden was a pleasure. The variety of breads and jams along with croissants and yoghurts made a great start to the day. For the price this place is great! Almost forgot to mention the great mattress!

Friendly, comfortable and clean

I have stayed here three times over the years. I wish it was closer to more restaurants but I can't bear to stay anywhere else when in Nantes! Plus I can walk to the city center in about 20 minutes if I am walking slow. It is quiet, very clean, and the owners are absolutely lovely! The breakfast is hearty: yogurt, granola, meat and cheese, fruit, fresh breads, local jam, coffee and juice for about 8 euros. Also one can sit in the garden to eat or just enjoy the flowers. The wifi is free and works great!!! Odile and Xavier (the owners) speak a number of languages, are truly kind souls, and take care of their guests. The rooms contain a desk, double bed, small closet and good sized bathroom. I would recommend this to anyone staying in Nantes!

I love this little gem!

The Hotel Coeur de Loire is outside the center of Nantes and a bit hard to find.  The rooms are appropriately-sized for a two-star.    At breakfast, most of the people seemed to be French and from a business or teachers group. The positives are the price, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the friendliness of the owners. The downsides are that there are several floors and no elevator.  It was difficult to find street parking.  Probably a 15-minute bus ride to the city center.  I seem to remember there were restrictions as to what time of day I could arrive.

Very pleasant owners ensure a pleasant stay

The hotel was located in between the people we were visiting and the center of the city.  We did not spend much time in the room aside from sleeping and it was just fine.  The breakfast was very good and the people at the hotel were so nice.  I would definitely recommend it to someone who is looking for a nice and rather inexpensive place to stay.
