This was a cheap stop off to get some sleep after 18 hours driving before starting a week of camping.  It did not feel like a cheap bed for the night.  It was clean, spacious, quiet, well maintained and the bed was very comfortable, it seemed like it has just opened.  It had towels and body wash thrown in which was a surprise for the price. 
The sink in the room is very useful and as the showers and toilet cubicles are scattered across the hotel, there are many close to each room, so never far to go.  I would definitely stay again, even as an actual holiday place,  Very basic but definitely worth it.  The receptionist wasn't rude but didn't have much to say, so can't really say she was friendly either. 
I am glad I have found this chain of hotels :)

Fantastic

Stayed for two nights during football tournament. Hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate and clearly caters for truck drivers. Rooms ultra basic and stunk of smoke. Toilets and showers are at the end of the corridor and are like airplane toilets. Staff were excellent and very helpful. McDonald's is right next door but doesn't open until 10.30 but there is an amazing bakery just 2 minutes walk away. Fairly decent pizza restaurant next door too. Tram station 15 minutes away on foot so access is good. Not the best place to stay if visiting Lyon, which you should do because it is a beautiful city.
