We stayed three nights in the Chateau de Beugnon, and would thoroughly recommend it. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom very spacious. The whole place is very charming, with horses, peacocks and swans; large grounds with a lake.
Jean-Yves provided us with some wonderful meals, Nicole was most welcoming, and spoke excellent English. A lovely place.

Fantastic

My husband and I stayed here for two nights.  It was fantastic!  Nicole and Jean-Yves were so warm and welcoming. They were always making sure our needs were met. We had dinner with them the first night and the 7 course meal with wine and champagne was the most memorable meal we had during our entire 2 week vacation! Each course was delicious and so creative. As someone mentioned before, the meal lasts until mid-night so just be prepared for that. Although Jean-Yves spoke only French, it was in a warm, charming way that did not make you feel bad for not speaking French.  Nicole spoke English so there were not any problems with language. I got sick the second night we were there and they were so concerned and wanted to help in any way they could. Unfortunately I didn't feel well enough for a 2nd dinner with them but we really wish we could have!  We found the peacocks, swans, horses, and all the other animals added to the overall charm of the entire place.

Absolutely Fantastic!

We booked the hotel and requested dinner. When we got there the only person on site was not part of the staff. When the owners returned we were told that we could not have dinner as there was a 'family event' using the dining room and public spaces. We suggested moving to another hotel and the lady owner became angry and said we could not cancel our reservation. The internet did not work. We left and they charged us anyway saying we had 'sat on the bed' so the room had to be remade.
We had to sit on the bed because there was nobody there to talk to us and there were no chairs in the room.

Unhelpful agressive owner

We loved this place.I wanted to stay for another week. We were three generations, all adults ranging in age from 25 to 85 and had the entire upstairs area. The Chateau is in the middle of vineyards. Has relaxing sitting areas in the lawn near the small pond. Has peacocks (yes one tries to peck his reflection in the car but there was no harm to our car), swans, horse etc.

The rooms are spotless, lovely in an understated french country way. Bathrooms spacious. Beds very comfortable. Wifi was free and could actually be accessed some times in the lawn.Owners gracious.We were there for three nights and during some warm temps.The cross ventilation in the room was good. Yes we were awakened by sounds of a donkey nearby and the peacocks but felt that was part of the experience. 
There is a garden in the back and meals are prepared using some of these fruits and vegetables. We arranged to have dinner there our first night thinking we would go to restaurants in the towns nearby afterward. That would have been a huge mistake.We thought the dinners were fabulous Jean Yves starts dinner with appetizers and aperitifs on the lawn.Then, you have 6 more courses inside with the very interesting wine made by Jean Yves as well as another red that is natural and organic.I have eaten at several Michelin star restaurants around the world, his dinners rank up there with the best. After the first night, my husband(who had not been to Europe before) declared that the meal was worth the trip to France. Be warned that meals last until almost midnight. we were very tired but decided we absolutely had to have dinner there every night, sleep loss or not.
 The only thing we would change would be to ask for a bit more variety in wine selection (we did not ask although are certain we would have been accommodated if we had) over the course of three dinners. And had we stayed for another week would have requested boiled egg or other protein for breakfast, although we loved all the home made jams and wonderful pastries. I give Chateau Beugnon my highest recommendation.

I wanted to stay for a week longer

We stayed here for one night while traveling around France with Friends . The Chateau is beautiful our room was exquisite. Jean-Yves and his wife Nicole were very good hosts and made us feel very welcome they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. If you are a wine lover and like different foods then this place is a must.
As others have mentioned the Peacock has a varied appeal but for me that is the countryside and staying some where with wild life. I am a great animal lover and accept their natural sometimes annoying behaviours as part and parcel of their appeal.
I would recommend anyone to stay here and if in the area again this will be where we stay.
