As a child this place held fond memories for me so I was excited to take my own family. It’s as impressive as I remember it, but absolutely packed full of people. It was difficult to get up stairs as there were people sat on  them eating lunch. Do not repeat do not go into Rock a Malo pick n mix shop. €48 for 2 bags of pick n mix my kids were ripped off! €8.75 per 100g only displayed at till once they’d been round and filled a bag. They wanted to spend some of their holiday money not all of it! Lady at till abrupt when we queried the cost just pointed at the sign telling us how much. 
€17 to park for 3 hours also very expensive.
All in all a disappointing last day to out time in Normandy. Wouldn’t go back. 

Money making Mont st Michel

Wonderful experience but very busy and public not trying to avoid contact with each other so a bit scary coming out of Covid.
However a must visit location for everyone if at all possible.
We walked out and took the shuttle back.
A tired small dog was not allowed on the bus back !

Crowded with no Covid control

BandB close to mont saint michel. Fantastic view of the setting sun behind the mont.The bandb has comfortable rooms with good beds. Is within reach of all interesting places but is quiet. Good contnental breakfast with good strong coffee and hot choclate.Clean and cosy with nice people.

Fantastic view

I took a room on the first floor, best view from there. Spacious room, clean, friendly lady at the reception. Good breakfast is included. I had the most wonderful stay.  I would return in the summer time for warmer weather. But a visit in low season is wonderful too. You have mont st Michel for yourself. Only few visitors. 

Stunning view

The location is close enough for a short 10 minute drive to the shuttle bus parking for Mont St Michel without paying the higher prices there.  We like the peace and quiet of the place, and our room also had a view of the monastery.  The host was kind and of good service.  We slept in past the breakfast hour, but we were still able to have it.

Good location for the budget

I really love this place. We had a wonderful view of Le Mont Saint Michel just in front of the house. The sunset is so beautiful. We enjoyed our stay here with family. The french style breakfast and the service is so good!! I do higly recommend this place to everyone. This is the best choice for couple, family and friends!!

Wonderful!!

Les valtieres proved perfect, simple family accommodation. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, shower is warm and location is slightly away from their hustle and bustle from main tourist area. There is a lovely view of the mont from outside the accommodation and the surrounding fields. We would stay here  again....it's not fancy, it's certainly na a chain hotel, but it was perfect.
