A bit of a late review as we stayed here for a week in March.

It was honestly the week of a lifetime and an experience I will never forget. 

Our room was larger than I expected, the bed super comfy and a perfect view from the window.
We stayed in the main hotel which worked perfectly as could go to the restaurant in comfies and slippers.
The room itself had a large desk, multiple mirrors, and a porch section at the front of the room with more than enough space to hang up wet clothes so it didn't need to come into main room.

The staff were incredibly friendly, especially the manager who always took the time to see how we were.

Food was lovely - always hot. I am a very fussy eater with allergies and there was 2 days where I looked at the options and didn't like any of them. The staff were always happy to cook me up something else quick so I could still eat. 
(Nobody else had this issue. I am very fussy but every other person staying enjoyed all of the food!)
Cakes at dessert were so nice. Still missing the chocolate cake now!!

The grounds of the hotel itself you could spend a week itself walking through the snow, spotting reindeer and going sledding. Loved having free time to do this and could've easily had another empty day.

The location is great as its a short walk to a touristy gift shop and cafe to get out the hotel, and you can also walk over the bridge to the main village. 

Before booking I saw some negative reviews about Transun and the experience and was so scared, whilst there are one or two small points I have on Transun (separate review) this was honestly the trip of a lifetime. And for the price we were so so happy, especially being able to fly from our local airport.

1000% book and stay here!! You will feel like you're in a fairytale.

Perfect hotel to stay in Lapland

What a fantastic adventure we had in the Arctic Circle staying at the warm and cozy Davvi Arctic Lodge. We booked with Transun who we would highly recommend as they were very good with knowledgeable, friendly, helpful staff on the phone and excellent guides on the very well organised activities. The food was really good with plenty of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We enjoyed walks in the evening to walk off the dinner and enjoy the amazing Northern Lights which we saw on several occasions. We were provided with good boots and snowsuits which kept us warm and dry and their  snow boots were essential on the slippery snow and ice. We had travelled with my sister and her husband and we had such fun on the snow shoe walk, husky dog sledding, reindeer ride and best of all were the snowmobiling adventures. So glad we paid extra for the daytime Snowmobile safari trip which turned out to be the highlight of the holiday with beautiful scenery everywhere. We also paid extra to go to see the incredible ice sculptures at The Ice Hotel in Sweden where we had lovely lunch & special cocktails at the famous Ice Bar! Thank you Transun for a fabulous experience!

What an amazing adventure in Finnish Lapland!

Wow what a truly once in a lifetime experience, far above my expectations.
We stayed at the Davvi Artic Hotel in a lodge. Everything so well organised by Transun from start to finish. All staff were brilliant and the organised activities were magical. My only negative is that we were in a lodge and the joining wall could do with being sound proofed as we could hear next doors conversations.
We are really well travelled and this goes down as probably our so far. Highly recommend this trip to anyone thinking about it 👍 we were so lucky to see the Northern Lights on 4 out of our 7 nights 💫

Wow !!

Warm, welcoming and well organised!  First impressions can seem basic - but you’re (well) inside the Arctic circle, it’s comfy and provides everything you need!  The staff are super-helpful and nothing is too much trouble! And if you’re brave enough, try making a snow angel during your sauna - oh yeah!

The most magical adventure, so we had to return!

From the organisation, welcome and facilities to the excursions and location, a truly wonderful experience!

We stayed in the hotel itself this time, in a warm, well equipped room. 

The food offering was varied and plentiful and the bar was well stocked.

The team are all incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating.

The excursions again were pure magic, from meeting the real father Christmas after a reindeer sleigh ride, to taking a husky sled over a frozen lake with the northern lights overhead, with lots of tobogganing to fill the gaps!

Thank you to teams Davvi Arctic and Transun! A truly memorable experience once again!! 🥰

The real deal! 🥰

This was such a wonderful artic break.
We stayed as a party of 7 in the hotel, three rooms. The rooms are so well designed. Those on the ground floor make best use of the shape of the building. Good hanging space if very little or no cupboard. The hanging space is more important as the all in one snow suits are very heavy and very big.
Room was a good size with extra chairs and table. 
Beds proved very comfortable and we asked for and got extra fluffy pillows.
Nothing was too much trouble and any requests happened super fast.
The shower looked a strange contraption but worked perfectly with lots of hot water at a good pressure.
The food was plentiful and tasty. The chef always provided one spicey dish at lunch and dinner and both meals had at least three main choices. Breakfast was basically full English with juices and cereals, porridge yoghurt and jams.
This was not an up market restaurant. Food was plentiful. 
Outside the hotel had a toboggan run. 
The scheduled trips all went off at different times. So if you had an afternoon trip it was tobogganing in the morning or and early evening.
The lodges around the hotel looked great but we enjoyed not having to traipse down to the hotel for meals or trips. We could go back kick off the outdoor gear and because it was so hot, put on light clothing and even slippers for a few cold ones and dinner.
Because of the trip scheduling meal times were staggered. Not an issue and times went on the board at reception.
On arrival we went straight to the boot and snow suit storage. Suits are so warm and zip up as an all in one. Thermal underwear and another base layer top was all i needed. I did wear two pairs of thermal socks, two pairs of gloves, snood and furry hat. But didn't need any of the three track suit sets I took.
Thermal base layers, gloves and hats are a must. Your own boots and a warm coat are also needed as on the last day you have to take your snow suit and boots back.
Temperature wise it got a slow as minus 37.
Drinks at the hotel did seem a little over the top. About £9 per pint. Everything else was also expensive. That said this is not a drinking holiday there is too much to do.
On the last night we had an alert about the northern lights and boy did we get lucky.
This hotel is friendly well run, very clen with plenty of food.
Its also in the wilderness which makes it even better



Just a fantastic experience

Where do I start the place was amazing staff was friendly it was a little rushed when we first got there but worked out well. The cabins was great the fact you had a sauna in you room was a great touch. Will definitely go again

We stayed at the Davvi from 11th -13th of Dec '23.
Everything was fantastic , the rooms were clean and cosy , the food was excellent and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The excursion were amazing and lots of fun.
Loved every minute , we made lots of wonderful memories.

The Davvi arctic lodge is an absolutely brilliant place to see theNorthern lights.  We went in January  2023 and luck was certainly with us, we saw them most nights of our stay! The lodge itself is good basic accomodation,in a magical setting. The staff were all fantastic,including the reps from Transun.The trips were brilliant and everything was organised to perfection. Hotel was warm and clean and the food in the lodge was very good. Would highly recommend 

Northern lights experience

We have recently returned from a Transun trip to this hotel - my headline really says it all - it surpassed all my expectations.

The trips we well organised, fun and insightful, learing about the local culture, the animals and the area we were travelling in.  

The hotel staff, Transun Staff, locals who ran the huskie kennels and the reindeer camp were all very welcoming and helpful.  A particular mention for us would be the our guide on the Snowmobileds, James!  He went beyond the call of duty with two virgin Snowmobile riders, we couldnt have done it without him.  Be warned these are beasts of machines and not for the feint hearted - however we did it and delighted that we did.  

We weren't lucky enough to see Northern Lights but everything else meants it wasn't the biggest deal for us in the end.

Our lodge was warm roomy and comfortable, the hotel was clean and well managed - food was plentiful and delicious especially after you come in from a cold excurision across a frozen lake!

Drinks weren't the cheapest but as it was a full board trip we decided that it was the only thing we really had to pay for so enjoyed some decent wine in the evenings.

Overall highly recommended - and a massive thanks to the team for making my 60th birthday treat well worth it.

Worth noting there was  really nice range mix of ages in the whole group.   .
