Small-sized Hotel with big-hearted staff. The hotel is in a convenient location as it is not far away from the airport and within walking distance from the main road downtown. 
Beds are clean, food is delicious and authentic.

The guest house has a very good value. The rooms are clean, you have WiFi and a good location on bole area at less then 40 dollars. They can organize airport pick up and food.
The service is correct and I will go back again .

Great value for the money

It's such a perfectly located guest house with the kindest and warmest staff ever. I stayed there for 20 days and i would have stayed even longer had i had time. Loved the cleanlines of the rooms, the room service is always at your disposal you can just call and they come, they had a fairly good WIFI which is much needed as 4G datas has been disabled in the country for security purposes so a great plus, hot shower but i was missing one thing only and that is breakfast. It'd have been nice if they added breakfast into the package but no worries.
Lastly, i'd like to thank the receptionists Mr. Mule and Miss. Mahlet as they were so helpfull and they went out of their way to ensure all your needs were fullfiled. All in all, a vacation well spent.

Home away from home

I stayed at this guest house in April it was a fantastic experience from the reservation to the airport pickup. The price is very very fair and i definitely recommend this guest house for travelers and definitely stay here next time I am in Addis.

Excellent Service at the heart of Addis

I previously stayed at the Addis Guest House for a couple of weeks and was pleasantly surprised.  I’ve tried to be as detailed as possible in my review.

Positives:

1)	Price - One of the best values you can get in the Bole area of Addis Ababa for sure, with prices between $30-$60 per night (depending on the room).  Considering the size of the rooms (which all come with King size beds and living rooms), this price puts many of the surrounding Hotels to shame.
2)	Location - This Guest House is walking distance to the Edna Mall area of Bole, which means you are very close to restaurants, shops, bars, lounges, movies, and other attractions.  There are also plenty of taxis that travel the main road making it easy to go elsewhere as well.
3)	Living Room – The living room is large enough to accommodate many guests.  It included a long sofa, a love seat, and two arm chairs.  There was also a small dining table for two in the back.
4)	Internet - There was Wi-Fi access from within the rooms.  It does go out from time to time (as is common in Ethiopia).  A quick call to the front desk will determine if there is anything they can do about it.
5)	Restaurant – There is a nice restaurant on the ground floor.
6)	Room Service – There was adequate room service available for any food or other requests.
7)	Kitchen & Refrigerator – There is a large refrigerator in the rooms for your food and drink items as well as a small kitchen area.
8)	TV – There is a small television in the room (though I rarely used it).
9)	Telephone – Available in the room for local calls.

Negative:

1)	Leaky Windows – When it would rain the windows were not adequately sealed to prevent water from entering the guesthouse.  It because routine to have housekeeping have to mop up all the water after the rain would end.
2)	Unattractive View - Not the most attractive view from the windows.  There appeared to be a muddy car wash across the street and well as the routine donkeys being herded past.  There is also trash everywhere in the field across the street.
3)	Open Shower – There is a shower but no shower curtain.  This again will result in a bunch of water on the floor which you will have to call housekeeping to mop up.

I would high recommend the Addis Guest House for those travelers on a tight budget.  It is also a great find for those that are already familiar with the city, plan to spend their time exploring the city, and only need a “home base” to stay in.  Why pay for extra amenities that you are not going to use?  Stick to the basics; a spacious room with a bed and a living room.  Great Value!
