Located on west bank, more convenient to visit for me, plus you cross using a small ferry boat, nice view. The hotel is simple, nothing fancy, but the rooms are comfortable and fresh. The garden is gorgeous and quiet. Breakfast and lunch are good. And the staff is welcoming. Prices are very reasonable. For me that's a perfect option. 

The service, food n atmosphere was perfect. Wide selection of food and drinks. Options for vegetarians as well. An evening in the garden with the braziers is lovely. The owner and staff are excellent. Enjoy every visit and every meal. Priced well.

Traveling with a friend, we booked a double room on short notice and were welcomed with the great hospitality Egypt is known for. The tranquil and green garden in the backyard makes the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring temples and tombs and plan for the days ahead. Breakfast, dinner, and the evening drink are served while little fires add to the relaxed atmosphere. The hotel owner/manager sits ready to support you with anything, be it renting bikes or booking trips. You’ll love it!

We intended to just have ‘the usual’ mezze but we ended up with about 8 or 10 people at our table & things got complicated, so a fair bit of ‘sharing’ went on.
We intended to eat again but were forced to leave Luxor 11 days early, so never made it

If you are looking for very reasonably priced accommodation in Luxor that still provides great value and comfort you can't do better than the El Fayrouz. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, and the bathrooms good. Most importantly, the staff are very welcoming and friendly as well as competent and helpful; a happy team! The setting of the garden restaurant is delightful and the food excellent and reasonably priced. Cooler winter evenings are warmed by braziers that add to the great atmosphere. We have stayed at the hotel regularly for 6 weeks at a time for 7 years now and the high standard has always been maintained.

Getting good internet access is often a problem while travelling. I recently returned to Luxor on vacation (I keep coming back!). A few days ago I visited Fayrouz again because of their great food, lovely owner Khaled, and their pretty garden restaurant. 
There are new additions in the structures, including small domes and lovely painted murals! The staff welcomed me back, their English is good and they are polite and fast. I ordered my favourite meatball dish, so good, as well as freshly made lemonade and turkish coffee after. The garden is always in bloom. Excellent food and service and a pleasure to stare at the greatly painted new murals.
While I sat and ate, I downloaded three episodes of a show using their garden WiFi! woah, that is uncommon around here. The price for my meal was super decent, too.

We spent a wonderful evening at the garden restaurant after feeling tired and exhausted by the hassle on the other side of the Nile. This lovely place was just right to calm down and especially have one of our best (and cheapest!) dinners of our complete stay in Egypt. The starters plate for two was enough to feed the two of us - and cost less than 4 EUR. Incredible! Having a professional cook with me I can recommend this restaurant to everybody and send best regards to the kitchen of El Fayrouz!

One of our 'must-go' places each time we come to Luxor, which is currently 3 or 4 times a year.
It has been done-up! But not just a lick of paint. The roofed area at the bottom of the garden now has brick-built arched roofed sections and is brightly decorated.
It has an extensive menu, but we discovered the mezze a l-o-n-g time ago and have great difficulty looking at the rest of the menu. It's 9 plates (including bread) of salady things or fritters (potato & aubergine)
Everything looked freshly cut & prepared and the fritters especially were crisp & dry.
only hardship was waiting for the bottle of beer to cool in it's ice-bucket. The beer had just been delivered and hadn't got cooled yet.

I have a flat on the West Bank, and have been coming to Egypt for the winter for ten years or more. Having sampled most of the restaurants on this side of the river I can honestly say that the El Fayrouz is outstanding. The ambience in the tropical garden is delightful, the service is friendly and helpful, and the menu is (for Egypt) well balanced. Try the hotel speciality, finger dishes, a local version of vegetarian meza. And the prices are very competitive. Where else, even on the West Bank, can you get a good meal for three people with a bottle of wine for the equivalent of £13?
I can't comment on the rooms, as I have never stayed here, but I have seen them, and they look very clean and well kept with the usual en suite facilities.
