I came to Crucita to de-compress from recent retirement and work on my newly acquired paragliding skills.  I chose Hostal Cruzita from the internet prior to coming but once I got there, I knew I chose the perfect place.  The location is great, the place is really clean, and the owners are really friendly and make you feel right at home.  If you're into paragliding, the owner will give you a 5 min ride to the launch site and you can land on the beach right in front of your room at the end of the day!  He also offers instruction or tandem flights if you want.  The place is right on the beach and the sunsets are incredible.  I stayed here for a month and was happy that I chose Hostal Cruzita.  Raul & Gina certainly made me feel welcome!

Great Hospitality and Paragliding

We stayed here for two weeks during Carnivale and afterwards. It was a great place. Very clean, wonderful staff, perfect location in front of the beach but far from the noise of town, a pool, and the internet worked.  There is a wonderful patio overlooking the ocean with a table you can sit at to enjoy the view. Raul, the owner, is a paraglider so you should definitely take a flight with him while you're here. The rooms do not have A/C but Crucita cools down at night and the breeze from the ocean works great (and every room looks out onto the ocean).  We saw all the other options in town and found here to be the best choice, for comfort, location, and price.  

The only thing I would like to see happen here is to open the kitchen up for guest use. Crucita does not have a lot of restaurant options, and many are open sporadically so you never know what you are going to be able to eat on a given day. If the hostel let guests use the kitchen it would make a stay here much more pleasant. They do offer a menu during certain hours, but it is the normal fare of town so no real "alternative" options happening. But the american breakfast of eggs, etc. is great and a good value.

A Great Home For Two Weeks On The Beach

Raul and Gina make wonderful ambassadors for their country!  They are kind and gentle and compassionate.   I am an artist and often work while travelling.  Raul quickly puts a table in my room for my papers and supplies!  Not feeling well?  They'll cook something special, and the love they put into the food is the secret ingredient for feeling better fast!  Their food is amazing - I am trying to convince them to have a two or three-day cooking school so they can share how they prepare those amazing culinary specialties!
Yes, you will enter as a tourist - as a stranger, but you will leave feeling as if you're a part of their family.  You will be, as they will always remember you and your name!

if you're looking for a quite fisherman town and some infinite walks along the beach, Crucita is the place for you. and the Hostal Cruzita is definitly a good stop. 
Location is great, right on the beach. enjoed some wonderful sunset and during the night you could just hear the sea almost knoking on your window. it´s just off the main road, it´s a quick walk to the main restaurants and the villag, but if instead you turn left. you have a whole oceanic desertic beach waiting for you. nobody to bother, just ready to be explored. 

On sunday I arranged with the hotel owner a great paragliding experience. 20 minutes of beautiful view, floating in the sky..and all this for a very good deal (35$). strongly suggest.

Me liked this hostel a lot. I felt really comfortable and welcome. Raul, is a very good host and he made me feel like i was at home. Rooms are comfy and you´ve got the ocean view from your window. There's a little terrace which is perfect to chill or read a book while watching the beautiful sunsets Crucita has to offer.

During the morning i enjoyed the beach and the bright n shinning sun. During the afternoon i did paragliding. Raul is the pilot and he takes you tandem. It was a WONDERFUL experiece, i loved it. This is something i completely recommen once you are here, its a must. 

plus of the hostel; pool, wifi, hot water, ocean view, the beach is right in front, and Raul speaks english.
