Location. Location. Location. We were in Dubrovnik for 1.5 days and stayed here two nights. The convenience was unbelievable to Old Town. Tihomir owns the apartment and is a gracious host. I would also recommend you visit the beach Plaza Sveti Jakov. It is about a 5 min ride and 10 min walk including 160 steps down to the beach. 

The unit is two levels. The lower level has no air conditioning and is the entry to the unit. There are two single beds there. If you are coming during the hotter time of year, I would caution if you like it cold. The only other caution is if you have a car, I would pause with this place. Tihomir is very accommodating in this regards, however, the available garage is very small and directly off a busy one way road. If you have a very small car, then you are ok. Otherwise parking is hard to find. There is a ramp about 0.5 miles away. It cost us $36 USD for 8 hours and I think is like $60/ day or more.

I have flown more than 2,100,000 miles and 3,400 nights in hotels and we prefer 4- / 5- star properties - for context.

Location Location Location

Tihomir was the perfect host. Arranged to pick us up from the airport. The apartment is situated 50 yards outside the walls of the old town & a short walk to the main gates of the old town, ideal for sightseeing. Very well looked after & very clean. We even came back after a day out to find we had been left a bottle of wine & beers. Nothing was too much trouble for Tihomir. This place will be the first place we will go to on a return visit to Dubrovnik. First class accomodation, first class host & also very good value. Will be recommending this place to any of our friends visiting Dubrovnik.

Ideal place to stay

White glove clean, bright and private!  Post card views of the Coast Line, Cable Cars,  Old City Wall and the Fort. One of those places where you feel like you're not missing anything even in comfort of your own home. Few minutes walk to enter Old town and Cable Car station. Host is friendly, helpful and generous! He was available anytime we needed anything.  I could live in this apartment and highly recommend. Old world charm with modern day amenities. Location is such that you can take a bus and walk a few minutes to the apartment or take a taxi and be dropped off feet away from your front door. I would stay again and highly recommend.

Location, Location, Location!!!

I stayed at Turtle Apartments for six nights, wanting to stay near but not inside the Old Town. 

The location was fantastic - only a short walk from Pile, Buza, and Ploce gates but quiet at night. The apartment was spacious and well appointed, and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well (a must in summer!). The bathroom was compact, but perfectly usable and very clean. The little fridge and kitchenette made it easy to prepare simple no-cook meals. There are no laundry facilities but there is a coin laundry at Buza gate open during the day.

The tree-shaded outdoor patio area between the main house and the front apartments was the perfect spot to escape the heat or just relax with a book. You need to watch out for mosquitoes but insect repellent was provided on the table on the patio. If you have the windows open at night, there is a plug-in repellent provided in the kitchen that you can plug in next to the bed. The namesake turtles were just adorable, especially the little baby one.

But what really makes Turtle Apartments great is the host, Tihomir. He is so welcoming and helpful, he really seems to enjoy helping his guests make the most of their time in Dubrovnik. There were so many thoughtful little touches in the apartment - drying rack for clothes, umbrella, plug adapters, books - that made staying there feel more like home. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Dubrovnik.

Fantastic host and an excellent location

We stayed at Turtle apartments for a couple of nights whilst wanting to visit old town in Dubrovnik.

As per all the other reviews, Tihomir was an extremely friendly host willing to help with anything required.

Location is fantastic with only a short walk into old town.

The room was spacious, modern, clean and comfortable and we were very happy with our decision to stay at Turtle apartments. 

Great location, great host, great room. 

Tihomir is an amazing host. He led us to a place where we could leave our car over the weekend, loaded our luggage (and us) into his car and drove us to his property. When we left he drove us back to the car. The apartment is just what we needed - extremely quiet and very centrally located. 

A wonderful weekend 

Tihomir was a perfect host, greeted us with some fresh melon and gave us a quick overview of the town and what to do. The location is perfect, right outside the gate. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed and the turtles were an added bonus! Highly recommend staying here if visiting Dubrovnik Old Town.

Great stay and great location!

Tihomir was a wonderful host and so helpful! He collected us from the airport then took us to the port to catch the night ferry when we left. He even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine!  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Turtle Apartment and it was clean and tidy. The location was perfect - right opposite the city walls and only a very short walk to the old town. It was a lot easier than having to carry luggage by foot inside the old town. Highly recommend Turtle Apartments and the turtles in the garden were an added bonus! If we return we will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Place to Stay!

What a perfect place to stay, close to old town, clean and comfortable, all we needed. Tihomir was a fantastic host, treating us like family, nothing was too much trouble.  He drove my daughter and I to hospital when I had a bad reaction to mosquito bites. On our return Tihomir had left a bottle of wine 'for the patient'. He even pulled our cases to the shuttle bus stop. You don't get that sort of service very often. We would highly recommend a visit to Tihomir and Turtle Apartments.

Such a special place to stay

- Tihomir, the host, is the best. Personal, friendly, chilled attitude! Thank you for all your help (and the rose wine you gave me!)
- The shots of homemade limoncello and white wine from Trebinje monastery were awesome!
- Everything was great (good price, clean apartment with everything one may need, central location right next to the old town, comfy beds)
