Family of 5 stayed for 2 nights.
Warm welcome and the cabin was spacious for us (could have slept 8-9) and parking right next door.
There was no air-con. We had fans in each bedroom but one didn’t work. This wasn’t a big issue as the air in Monteverde was cooler than elsewhere. 
There was a very rustic feel to the cabins - it was great to watch the bird life outside, but not quite as fun evicting lizards, ants and spiders from the rooms (I accept this is a part of nature in CR).
The trail round the property was lovely and we did spot a sloth. We didn’t use the on site pool - it didn’t really appeal at the time. 
Construction work on site starting at 7am meant an early wake up. 
Overall the accommodation was fine, but for the standard of accommodation the price felt a little much. We paid similar for much more luxurious lodgings elsewhere during our trip.

Rustic cabins

This is an exceptional property that includes its own nature trails and gardens. Tony greeted us warmly and embodied Costa Rica's mantra Pura Vida. He was exceptionally helpful in providing recommendations for experiences based on our expressed interests. 

Wonderful hosts and beautiful property. 

Small, family run cabin style accommodations, that were quiet and well stocked for a short or longer stay. We had a family cabin that could have slept at least 8, and we found it quite spacious. It’s not luxurious, but clean and all you need. The pool was very refreshing. A great location to go to Santa Elena to wander, or do the cloud forest adventures

Would recommend!

A beautiful retreat in Monteverde. We only stayed one night and I wish we had stayed longer. The grounds are lovely, perched on a hill with views, lush vegetation, pool, delicious breakfast, and most of all very helpful and friendly staff. And it was a bargain too!

Beautiful bargain in Monteverde

Really lovely place to stay in monteverde, close to the restaurants etc in Santa Elena and a short drive from the reserves. The cabins are in a really peaceful location surrounded by beautiful forest and a lot of wildlife especially birds. They are simple but clean and comfortable. Each has its own little terrace and outdoor seats and they feel quite private from each other. There is a short trail on the property through local forest.

Run by a local family on land that has been reforested and actively attracts so much wildlife.  We had two sloths on site the first day and also saw snakes, frogs, parrots, and so much more.  The cabin was absolutely beautiful as were the entire grounds.  Service was amazing - cannot recommend enough.

Great cabins, wildlife, and customer service!

What a great Perserve! We throughly enjoyed our stay!
From the moment we checked in until we left we were thrilled. The cabin we stayed in was spacious and well appointed.
The son of the owners, TONY, who runs the place was the best you could ask for. He was  immediatly welcoming and helpful. He spoke lovely English and set up tours and transportation for us while we there.
The Preserve is beautiful and has a great walking trail all around the property.
You can sit out on your front porch with your morning coffee and enjoy the wildlife
Would definatly recommend this place.

What a great Perserve! Friendly, accomodating and beautiful!

I really enjoyed our stay at Pradera. The staff were really nice and accommodating. There were some resident sloths there! It was fun watching them. The staff would go out of their way to show us where they were. There were hiking trails on the property that we loved walking on and exploring. We saw some colorful birds and an agouti on the property. We also loved playing with their dog Capitan! So cute! It was nice having a pool to cool off in after hiking. The cabins were rustic but had a nice roomy lay out. The location of the hotel was a little far from the town if walking, but we had a car so it wasn’t a problem.  My only complaint was that sometimes there would be a sewer type smell coming from the bathroom. If it wasn’t for that, I would have given 5 stars.

Nice stay!

Really incredible scenery, every single “room” is actually a full cabin to yourself with a kitchen, beautiful bathroom and incredible view of the wildlife. The reception and hosts were very hospitable and we got to meet 3 very cute dogs. We saw some cool capybaras and birds.

Beautiful Cabin

We spent three nights at the hotel. These are bungalows in a beautiful garden. The rooms are large with kitchen and terrace. Costa Rican style breakfast. Due to the altitude, it was rather cold at night. We were given extra blankets upon request. It is a family run hotel that is maintained with great care. It lies in the middle of beautiful nature with its own educational trail. The staff is nice and helpful. It offers facilities to visit various attractions, but I think it's better to do it your way. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the small town of Santa Elena. which is very busy thanks to tourists. Interesting attractions are Monteverde Cloud forest Biological Preserve, Bat Jungle, Jardin de Orquideas. We do not recommend Finca Lindora Hot Springs because of the staff. You can get excellent Costa Rican food at Soda La Amistad. The whole stay was a nice experience.
